Seems like the Eagles been churning the roster and adding talent daily since free agency began. Meanwhile, we purged ours and didn't add anything.

I'd try him inside at guard tbh
He likely doesn’t make the team. The Jets gave him every opportunity to be a guy that can be counted on. Lord knows they needed him more than Philly and he didn’t step up. It’s a shame. Cowboys just drafted a big, highly regarded OT. You just never know. Half this board has Guyton in the Hall of Fame. NFL fandom is fueled by hope this time of year. Same for all 32 teams. It’s just fun now. It gets real in September.

Finally we’re spending some of that cap space. Maybe Howie isn’t asleep behind the wheel after all
Philadelphia has been spending.

2024 cap space
Washington 43.3
Philadelphia 28.8
Dallas 6.3
NY 5.5

2025 cap space
Washington 102.7
Dallas 79.3
NY 33.4
Philadelphia 13.7

2026 cap space
Dallas 205.5
Washington 192
NY 79.5
Philadelphia 41.5

2027 cap space
Washington 290
Dallas 270
NY 230
Philadelphia 138.3

Cap space the next four years
Washington 628.1
Dallas 561.1
NY 348.4
Philadelphia 222.3

Philadelphia is borrowing from their future cap 406 million more than Washington, 339 million more than Dallas, and 126 million more than NY.

That's how they are doing it.

That or the Eagles are kicking the can down the road and the check will come due soon. Remember the Rams did that.. A few years later they lost everyone.
The check comes due years from now. then they pay the bill over a year or two, then rebuild. They also get rewarded with a couple top of the draft picks. Our brain trust are fools by comparison.

It’s smart. When the bill comes due they pay it and get rewarded with high first rounders. Rinse. Repeat.

Isn’t the point they are doing it? If the plan is let’s lose but not gamble against the salary cap, fine. Decades will pass and the desired success will not materialize. So Cowboys fans now want to be conservative in deference to the salary cap? Forget the freaking Eagles, do you think NY Giants and Washington are going to plot that course? You don’t win a Super Bowl based on the money you don’t spend. If there is a trophy for not going all out to win the Super Bowl, give it to Jerry. He’s earned it.

They are doing it.

But when players don't play out their deals all that dead money starts to add up leaving very little for roster building in future years.

Philadelphia MUST win now because in the near future, a couple of years, they are going to have to make very tough choices when constructing their roster.

Roseman has gone all in. If Philadelphia doesn't win he will have put them at a very steep cap disadvantage.

Stephen would be jobless if he worked for the Eagles and wouldn't know what to do with himself.

Becton has been a bust so far. If Stoutland can’t fix him, Becton‘s career is probably over.
