Not saying he won't ever be good, but this guy's nowhere near ready. Swallowed up in run game and can't cut to ball.

He's essentially a rookie who hadn't played in 600 days in a vastly difference defense, coming off a catastrophic knee injury who wasn't supposed to start but is because of injuries.

Some of you guys...

I would like to point out that this was the toughest running attack that Jaylon Smith has ever faced.

Also, there was nothing in 2017 to prepare the Cowboys defense for the physicality the Broncos brought Sunday.

This was their preparation and their punch in the mouth. How the defense responds over the next couple games will be more indicative of who they are.

This is crazy. Jaylon played as good as any other player yesterday not including maybe Lawrence. Lee was terrible but yet nobody talks about that. Jaylon had 10 tackles and in his first 2 games as a pro got almost 20. Add to the fact he hasn't played since january last year.

He is essentially a rookie and will make mistakes. He will improve but the ones that didn't like the pick and proven wrong so many times with Jaylon couldn't wait to jump at this. Jaylon was a top 5 player on defense yesterday, more close to top 3 even though thats not saying much considering the performance of the entire team including Lee

That was disturbing. He didn't belong on the field. Couldn't cover, got bowled over, no strength or lateral quickness.

They should IR him and hope he can recover. I'm afraid this might be as good as it ever gets.
Wow. I really hope you aren't this premature in all aspects of your life! :omg:

Sean Lee and Jaylon Smith Tied for sixth in the league in Combined Tackles according to ESPN.

He sucks so bad...he is in the top ten in combined tackles right now.

In other words...he is not as bad as people think he is and should only get better.

Where is he as far as missed tackles?

Not to mention this is basically his preseason. I think he only played in 1 or 2.
