Rarely does it ever come down to one player winning or losing a game all by himself. That is correct.

Often you can blame the defense, or the offense, or coaching as a whole.

But you can definitely decide whether a player has played great or poorly in a game. Thats an easy one.

Now if a player continues to play poorly in lots of different situations or clutch situations then you can say that he simply doesnt have it.

Dak overall has played well in the playoffs. The last two times against the #1 D in the NFL he has struggled as the rest of the offense has struggled. Not a big deal playing poorly against the #1 D. Thats why they are number 1.
How many times have we been told how great Dak is because he has led the #1 offense or at least one of the top offenses in the leage?

This is an offensive league. They are given the advantage. Why can we not expect Dak and his top ranked offense to beat the #1 defense? Is that too much to ask?

I can definitely say that I’m looking forward to this upcoming season more than I have in several years.

I bought a couple of new jerseys which I haven’t done since they signed La’el Collins.

I signed up for Sunday Ticket on YouTube after not having it for a few seasons.

And I’ve joined another fantasy football league.

Here’s to a season we can all be happy with!

Firing Coach Landry was one of our darkest days imo history. One year to say goodbye? Not a good look for the new regime. Winning is no substitute for class. Total summertime move........ No Class
That has nothing to do with the idea that Landry couldn't win the big one crowd of the late 60's.
A lot of people wanted him out at that time. Especially after getting slaughtered by the Cardinals on national TV in 1970.

It is an exciting time to be a Cowboys fan. They very well could have their 3rd year in a row with 12 or more wins and could advance in the playoffs as well.

How far the mighty have fallen.

Double digit win seasons used to be the standard expectation around here. Now, we are supposed to get excited about regular season success. I would expect Lions, Browns, and Redskinz fans to sound like this.

Playoff success is all that really matters.

When was the last time that they won 12 games 3 years in a row and contended for a Super Bowl?

Depends on the game. Probably would come down to a few plays here or there. Coaching, run game, big plays, penalties, pick, fumble, missed kick, clutch kick. Plenty of things.

I know you want to lay all the blame on the QB always, but it rarely works like that.

Why cant the Defense win the game? Why can the Oline and run game win the game like they did for the Eagles against the Niners? Special teams? Coaching?
Jimmy Johnson always said, most games come down to about 6 key plays and a few of those just depends on how the ball bounces.
And yes, a coaching decision comes into play as well. We all know that one too well.

I don't know. Probably 30 years ago. Still doesn't change our lowered expectations around here.

BTW......12 wins is not as pretigious as it used to be since there are now 17 games in a season. 12 wins today is like previously having 11 wins.

Who said following the Cowboys makes me miserable? Straw man argument.
It's funny that you make negative comments about winning 12 games 3 years in a row when they haven't done that in decades and the only other team currently doing that is the Chiefs.

Oh my bad! youre ok with 3 12 win seasons in a row even if it comes without the playoff success all of desire? I know i am. I enjoy the ride. I know how hard it is to have the kind of success we had in the 70s and 90s. And i know im no less of a fan than others I just dont get bent out of shape on the lack of success

I have used the #1 offense thing in defense of trolls like you saying he sucks.

As far as being able to beat the #1 defense, you should be able to answer that yourself. Clearly the #1 D is better than our offense.

If you are looking for specifics? Average Oline, with Zeke as the only back we have no run game, not much to throw to other than Lamb, and Moore's scheme is predictable. Pollard got hurt and our kicker got the yips starting the game prior. Couldnt even hit an extra point. On top of that Dak threw a few picks. Thats pretty much going to get you beat by the #1 D.

Need a top Oline if your going to have consistent success against the best defenses in the NFL. And being able to run the ball always helps.

Those fans that go all in with the Cowboys every year are the ones that end up having to be talked off a ledge in January.

There were several key plays in the game:

-First Dak pick changed the momentum
-Pollard getting injured
-The missed extra point by the FG kicker
-The dropped pick 6 by Diggs
-The whiffed Diggs tackle on the huge SF TE catch over the middle in the 4th on their TD drive
-Shultz stepping out of bounds and not getting the 2nd foot down and another bad play by Shultz

What the hell is that?
You haven't watched this game too long......have you?

That is Dennis Green......the former coach of the Cardinals. That is a famous quote of his.

In other words......if the current team is sooooo great......why not just go ahead and give them the trophy?

If the rumors are true of Big Mike not liking Moore's offense and how it would not factor stalling a bit to give the defense a longer rest...I think this is could be a big factor in our success.

Our Defense is our golden goose. Dont string them as thin as possible. I saw a lot of times where the defense seemed tired but still held up last year. I assume if play calling on offense is tweaked to give Defense longer gaps between cycles it will only help.

Now...if the defense is so stacked and depth allows for putting the pedal to the metal on offense without the defense getting tired...Im all for that too.

Buddy......I am not a troll. I've been a fan a lot longer than you have. I am one of the original board members here, nearly 20 years on this board alone. I was also on all of the precursors to this board as well (thecowboys.net). You are a relatively new comer. If anyone is a troll.......you are a Dak apologist troll.

No, whatever you put there was gone and it just showed a bunch of junk on the screen.
