I'm pretty optimistic that we'll be drafting in top 10 next year

.. that we will be drafting top 10 next year. That said, who besides Mariota and Winston will be available at 1-10?

We have a tougher schedule than last year and will be fortunate enough to see 8-8. 6-10 is more likely. There are sooooo many questions and so few absolutes going into training camp. This truly feels like a cleverly disguised rebuild. I'm sure there will be plenty that tell me I am sooooo far off base. It feels pretty accurate though.

Lol. Its a total rebuild for the d for sure. We have 2 good cbs and a good lb and ss and selvie and thats it! Im not sure about top ten but Itll be close. We'll see where we pick with a 6-10 or 7-9 record.

I need to find something to wrap some optimism around going into the season. Training camp will reveal some glimmers of hope... hopefully.

Most rookies dont come in and make that much of an impact. Thats all we are relying on for the defense. That and hoping like hell spencer and melton even play this year. More questions than last year going in for sure. Either way though itll be an entertaining season. Itd just be nice to think your team has a shot going into the season for once.

Our only chance not to draft in the top ten is Romo coming back 100% and remaining that way of which I have my doubts.

Agree wholeheartedly. Going into the season with numerous questions seems to be par for the course with each passing year. Naturally, some teams have fewer than others. Ours seem to multiply.

I hate to say I need to see him take a hit but.... I need to see him take a hit. When he gets up, rubs some dirt on it, and heads back to the huddle I will be in a slightly better spot.

I hope I don't see him take a hit. If he does, I know he will get up, wipe some dirt on it and try to play. Just like he did with a punctured lung, a broken collarbone and a ruptured disk.

I have no doubts about the boy's toughness. Just hope he doesn't have to endure that this year.

It's not like I'm basing this off past seasons or anything ... But I got a hunch we'll be 8-8.

It's the going trend. I wouldn't be all that suprised either. There are some people on here doing the usual, "I just checked out all the youtube highlights and these guys we drafted look like monsters" dance; been there, done that. Too bad they don't have lowlight videos to offset these ridiculous expectations people seem to have. This is clearly not a fixed team...not even close in my mind. But with an improved offensive line, it may, at least, be entertaining again.

With Martin shouldn't we have one of the top OL in the league? IF we have a decent OC then we should be running the ball 30 x per game while limiting Romo to less than 30 attempts per game. However, if we fall behind then all bets are off.

Still our D is like the Titanic. Destined to sink.

Unless you think our division is good, which I don't, then we do not have a tough schedule except for some awkward times.

SoS had us at what, 18th relative to last season's records? Not that rough. Not to mention the whole NFCE plays the similar inter division schedule.

Romo takes a lot of hits unnecessarily sometimes. Holding on to the ball, scrambling left or right and still not throwing it away, he's got to stop doing that if he has back problems. Believe me, he will get hit and hit hard, there's no way around that with the way he plays, so we'll see if he holds up.

On the flip side, running the ball may be his chance to survive. I have no clue as to what type of coordinator this new guy is, but keep Garrett away from him.
