I'm proud of the team

Win meant nothing…only short-sighted fans see a benefit in this.

With every meaningless win we get closer to mid round draft position, additional year(s) with McCarthy, and Jerry deluding himself into thinking that injuries caused a championship caliber roster to falter.

Not that it matters. Dak will be our QB next season and Jerry will be our GM. Failure is inevitable.
Agreed.

With a top 10 draft pick, the Cowboys could trade down into the mid-to-late teens, pick up an extra 3rd and 4th round draft picks (Jerry has given our 4th and 6th round draft picks away for trash players which 1 of them is no longer here while the other one stinks) since we badly needs draft picks. If we stay with the same very little draft picks, everyone is going to be complaining come draft time.

I believe the remaining games will determine the fate of the team that remains. If the results fail to impress this FO happily, it seems likely that the organization will undergo change. Of course, the extent of it depends upon whatever the FO deems necessary. Anything can happen, of course. The organization will still be run by the same folks that have led this team into its current state. Be mindful of that, for reality to remain intact. ;)

I like the W for the simple fact the Giants haven't taken a singular game from us in forever.

Yes it is commendable in my eyes and seeing players I consider second rate (Rush, Dowdle, Schoonmaker, Tolbert, Turpin) have some success also gives me respect for McCarthy. The players clearly don’t think he’s the problem
Turpin is the fastest man in the NFL, the best and most dangerous return guy in the NFL, and not a bad WR when used in space correctly. There is nothing “second rate” about him. Dowdell is probably a second tier guy but pushing higher, Rush is bottom tier, and so is Tolbert.

Weirdly, I have found the last two games much more enjoyable to watch than the first 10. Not because they were wins but because they just didn't matter.

I won’t enjoy the win. It’s actually bad for the team.
Planning to fail for an imaginary scenario...is bad for "the team".

If I were a player, and you as a coach told me to purposely lose, I'd look for another team. I've never wanted to lose for ANY reason.

"The greater good of the future teams"? No...not even then. Fool's Gold.

I know it messes up our draft position, and I don't care. I'm proud of how this team has fought the last 3 weeks. They held Houston close until running out of steam. They fought hard and beat Washington, and now we have beaten the Giants. I love the fight. When all seemed lost, this team is back in the race. Even if we don't make it, the team has fought it's tail off, and I love that. Even if we don't keep McCarthy, a coach like Vrabel will appreciate the fight.
The team has talent and we have a good head coach. The problem is the owner/GM refuses to supplement the roster through free agency and pay for top notch assistant coaches. The Eagles, Detroit, and San Francisco make those sacrifices.

If the OP wants to be impressed with the crap sandwich the team gave him yesterday, who are we to try and take that away from him?

Defense has alot of fight in them.. MM playcalling is way too predictable. And we finally had a run game yesterday and MM kept throwing it.

When I say second rate I mean probably not an ideal starter on most teams. I agree that Turpin is a weapon but before this season he was barely playing outside of returns. Agreed about Dowdle he’s a good rotation back imo

Normally I'd be seething over these meaningless wins but the bolded is why I decided not to torture myself over it -- it doesn't matter. This team is screwed for the next half-decade at the very least and they're going to waste the pick on a plug anyway, this franchise with Jerry and his inbred family in charge is a lost cause and not worth my anger.

What a change at qb can do for your teams mentallity.

Suddenly everybody is upbeat again.

We really didn't keep Houston close. They were never in danger.

Wr neat a reeling team in Commanders because they couldn't kick PATs and we beat the giants...if there is any team worse than the Cowboys it's the Giants. They are a bigger mess.

We love our mediocrity. Hey, I'll admit the win over the No-Names was thrilling. But just remember when you celebrate our mediocrity at the end of the year, we have to take Dak back...again, and again, and probably again.

id guess they are looking at Kellen Moore.

most of the Offensive coaches are going to be replaced.

I appreciate and respect the efforts of the players and coaches on the team under the significant injury circumstances, and despite being undermined by the arrogance of the ownership and serial incompetence of upper management.

Proud of all these millionaires doing what they are paid to do.
