I'm sick and tired of the "Take Zimmer with you, Payton" posts

See you may wanna gamble, but you are gambling because you knwo you will be a fan here in 2 years. Parcells wont make that gamble because he will be gone

I will not be happy if Parcells brings in aging vets like Runyan, Chavous, and Owens for huge contracts. Those guys will crush our cap and there is no guarantee we win. I could see Parcells getting these guys too. he will trade Glover for Owens and Ellis for Abraham. He will bring in two very talented "turds" to win it all. He will also overpay for Runyan and Chavous in the FA period. I agree, Parcells wants to win now, thats why I want him gone. Rember how he left the Jets. Filled with aging veterans.

whoa, Parcells cares about the future too, look at all the rookies he started this year, and noone is going to overpay for Runyan or Chavous, and BP and TO's personalities will clash, so dont' see him
giving big bucks to TO either, I think you're overreacting just a tad

Just a little apprehensive. Good point about all the rookies. I think we are in win now mode with Parcells. He will do what is necessary to win next year. Thats why he took Bledsoe and didn't draft Rogers. He wanted his picks to make an impact now. I'm worried that he might go for broke next year and then call it quits.

I doubt it, Jerry Jones won't let that happen, he and BP have a great working relationship

Owens and Abraham will never sniff the field here no chance. Chavous wont be expensive and I doubt Runyan is either. I would go with Tom Ashworth anyway for OT

left the Jets in bad shape?? here is some of the talent he aqquired in only 3 years as coach 1 as GM

James Farrior
Jason Ferguson
Jason Fabini
Ryan Young
Randy Thomas
Shaun Ellis
John Abraham
Chad Pennington
Anthony Becht
Laveranues Coles

I don't know if he goes 9-7 again I think next year will be his last year. If we go 11-5, then I think BP will come back for his last year.

Yeah but he got 2 number 1 picks for Billichick and 2 1s for Keyshawn. Its kinda hard not to get good talent when you have those many picks. You forgot about their old linebackers. Parcells brought those guys in and they were let go as soon as he left. Can't remember their names though. as far as Ashworth, No!!! He just had back surgery. I would rather chance a healthy rookie tackle iinstead. 6 number 1 picks in 2 years, hell he better have left them with some talent.

the key is that BP did do it, so what's the problem?

Oh come on 6 number ones in two years!!! That is ludicrous. No way he could fail with that many picks and he still made some questionable calls. He took Shawn Ellis over Darren Howard for instance. Theres a few more if I do some more research.

noone's perfect, but he did a heck of a job acquiring talent for the Jets, and look at most of the Pat's roster, alot of Parcells' picks, everywhere he's gone, he's left teams in good shape

I dont know where the 6 picks comes from Parcells only had multiple picks one time which was 2000, in 1999 he had 0 first rounders

His LBs were

Abraham, Farrior, Bryan Cox, and Mo Lewis when he left thats pretty damn solid.

He also brought in

Curtis Martin
Kevin Mawae
Roman Phifer
John Hall (K)
Jumbo Elliot

He had alot of talent on that team when he left.

Notice something in all the games the D "choked" the allowed less than 14 or so points total. maybe the O choked eh?

Hmm lets see, NYG Game 1. Letting them come back when we dominated. WAS Game 1. Same crap........ WAS Game 2 CHOKE! KC game... chokeish..... Seattle letting them come back. (Bledsoe did put it away for us though.) DENVER!!! choking in OT.... Don't get my wrong we would be kicking *** in the playoffs and probably still in it. Don't even mention the st. louis game.. this team had nothing to play for then. When you see Nate Jones out there as CB. Well we aren't playing to win.. haha anyway We had a great season.. just not what it takes. We have a bad *** core of players with a fuse waiting to be lit. LIGHT IT BILL geez.

Trust me, he was awarded 2 1s for Keyshawn and 2 1s for Billichick. I don't know how many number ones he gave up for Martin who was still under contract. Maybe he lost a few picks for that one.

This gets easier every time

Giants game 1
allowed:

179 passing yards
91 rushing yards
Held NY to 1-11 on 3rd downs (9%)
ALLOWED 13 POINTS

Scoring drives

7 yard drive FG
5 yard drive FG

So 6 points and the D allowed a TOTAL of 12 yards hmmmmm

Seattle

Allowed:

224 yards passing
72 yards rushing
3-13 3rd down conversion (23%)
13 POINTS ALLOWED

Scoring drives

23 yard drive allowed FG

81 yard drive TD but there was a penalty by Aaron Glenn giving them like 30 yards

0 yard drive FG allowed

Denver game had nothing to do with Zimmer either, we had held them in check the whole damn game, until a missed FG and a missed tackle. i hardly think Zimmer is to blame for that

Actually I not trying to be rude but you are wrong.

He sent his 1999 1st and 3rd round picks for martin

in 2000 he got 2 firsts for Keyshawn and 1 first for belichick add that to their own and you get 4

I remember BP took Chad Pennington, Shawn Ellis, Anthony Becht, and John Abraham in one year (2000). Thats still 4 number ones in one year. 4 number 1s is still alot to work with. Your not being rude, just disagreeing.
