Dak season was so bad that even AC Jumped off the bandwagon and became a Dak Hater for a week. Then he got injured and people got to pretend that Dak was great because Rush is just a backup.
I do recall him saying that Dak was greedy for asking for the contract he received, so there is hope for him yet!

Not Cooper's fault.....it's many on here, this board. Cooper had a grading curve on his play that I wished I had in college......I would have graduated Summa Cum Laude instead of like Shannon Sharpe says, "Thank u Laude".

I'm saying Dak is an imposter.
He makes his reputation off of beating weak teams that the rest of the Cowboys are already dominating.
But when it's his turn to be the reason the Cowboys win because they are in a tough game, he disappears until the game is already lost. Then he gets stats based on throwing g against a defense that is coasting because they know the game is already decided.
I'm saying loud and clear that Dak is only along for the ride, and he hurts the Cowboys because when they depend on him he doesn't produce. Dak is not a NFL caliber quarterback and he would already be out of the league if he played anywhere else.
Is that plain enough for you?

By the way: 31 other teams didn't offer Lamar Jackson a contract, either. You know, the REAL MVP from last season?
There's plenty of NFL qbs who have made nice careers at beating lesser competition. This is ridiculous. Even if it were true that Dak puts up ALL his numbers on bottom feeder teams, to say that he's not an NFL Caliber QB and would be out of the league is completely stupid.

You know what "out of the league" caliber QBs look like? Look at Gardner Minshew, Mac Jones, Will Levis, Daniel Jones, Desmond Ridder, Aidan OConnell, Zach Wilson, Joshua Dobbs.....THAT'S what out of the league looks like. Not a guy who at least finishes as qb8-15 year in and year out and chokes in the playoffs.

Rush is what he is. But the biggest difference between rush and dak is their paycheck.

It’s sad that you might think that . Because Prescott his statistics are better and mirror Mahomes. So what does that tell us.

ESPN's QBR stat relies heavily on Expected Points Added (EPA) which is the main efficiency stat being used in most advanced statistics calculations these days. So a QBR difference of 16.7 between Rush and Dak is an AWFUL lot. 47.1 ain't good, the league leaders are usually up around the mid-70s. Dak was tied for 1st in the NFL in QBR last year with Brock Purdy at 73.1. So 47.1 is a long way off. 30.4 is TERRIBLE.

And Prescott has the same numbers as Mahomes, so what do you think about that? This year was a throwaway, offensive line, new, defense, scheme new. The whole thing was a blowup.

He’s a backup and has done well in the role, imo. He is not a starter. Pretty obvious.
I get that he is a backup. He has done well for us, and has done his job...BUT FOR EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD DO WE KNOW OF ANOTHER BACKUP WHO IS AS UNATHLETIC AS COOPER RUSH?!!!

I didnt read this thread but ill say this

All a sudden when Cooper is playing, i dont see these excuses:

The OL is bad
The Receivers are bad outside Ceedee
McCarthy’s playbook is trash

Hypocrisy

Mahomes is a qb on an entirely different level than most, ugly stats but he does enough to win multiple SB's. Now I compared the 2 qb's because they are on the same team, same crap coaching, same skill players which is a much better apples to apples comparison then 2 players in 2 completely different environments. If you can not fathom that then we don't need to have any further exchange of words.

I have no problem with some of the things you've said.... but I can't agree with other things you've said. To say Dak isn't a NFL caliber quarterback is really way off and very untrue.

We all know Dak isn't elite, but if he isn't a NFL caliber quarterback, there's no way he'd be in the top ten out of 32 starting quarterbacks damn near every year.

It would be impossible for a non NFL caliber quarterback to become an All-Pro and MVP candidate. If it were that easy, there would be many more non NFL caliber quarterbacks to do those things.

Here's where you really loss me.... you said 31 other teams didn't offer Lamar Jackson a contract because he's already locked in a max deal contract.

Cooper Rush could have been snagged at any time in his career. That was a bad comparison my friend.

And if you put Dak on any of those teams..HE’S OUT OF THE LEAGUE!!!!! Just like all those guys. Dak is backup on most other teams and that’s a fact.
