I'm sorry but Cooper Rush isn't good

And Prescott has the same numbers as Mahomes, so what do you think about that? This year was a throwaway, offensive line, new, defense, scheme new. The whole thing was a blowup.
You are comparing last year to this year. This Daks stats sucked in first half splits…no better than Rush, maybe even worse

Cooper Rush's problems in Mon. Nite's game shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. He's been with the Cowboys long enough to see that he's not a cool customer when the pressure is on him to deliver good results. His passes routinely reflect a QB who loses his cool under pressure. Doing so is commonplace for backup QBs with many teams. He might well have been replaced by now, but this FO just won't tend to it. Rush is obviously limited and Lance isn't any better. One has to wonder if the FO has the intestinal fortitude to draft a QB, from the looks of it.

ESPN's QBR stat relies heavily on Expected Points Added (EPA) which is the main efficiency stat being used in most advanced statistics calculations these days. So a QBR difference of 16.7 between Rush and Dak is an AWFUL lot. 47.1 ain't good, the league leaders are usually up around the mid-70s. Dak was tied for 1st in the NFL in QBR last year with Brock Purdy at 73.1. So 47.1 is a long way off. 30.4 is TERRIBLE.
Good strength of unit indicator of challenging...

I have no problem with some of the things you've said.... but I can't agree with other things you've said. To say Dak isn't a NFL caliber quarterback is really way off and very untrue.

We all know Dak isn't elite, but if he isn't a NFL caliber quarterback, there's no way he'd be in the top ten out of 32 starting quarterbacks damn near every year.

It would be impossible for a non NFL caliber quarterback to become an All-Pro and MVP candidate. If it were that easy, there would be many more non NFL caliber quarterbacks to do those things.

Here's where you really loss me.... you said 31 other teams didn't offer Lamar Jackson a contract because he's already locked in a max deal contract.

Cooper Rush could have been snagged at any time in his career. That was a bad comparison my friend.
Before Lamar got his contract the Ravens let him test free agency, but he didn't receive any offers.

There's plenty of NFL qbs who have made nice careers at beating lesser competition. This is ridiculous. Even if it were true that Dak puts up ALL his numbers on bottom feeder teams, to say that he's not an NFL Caliber QB and would be out of the league is completely stupid.

You know what "out of the league" caliber QBs look like? Look at Gardner Minshew, Mac Jones, Will Levis, Daniel Jones, Desmond Ridder, Aidan OConnell, Zach Wilson, Joshua Dobbs.....THAT'S what out of the league looks like. Not a guy who at least finishes as qb8-15 year in and year out and chokes in the playoffs.
The fact that you can name so many shows just how bad NFL talent evaluation is.
But if Dak had played for any other team he would already have been out of the NFL.

Overall, Cooper Rush could not take any team to the Championship Game.
That's nothing new for Dallas. Romo and Dak couldn't/can't and both have had 13-3 one seed opportunities.

Maybe, just maybe after 30 years Jerry will learn on the job that you have to draft QBs in the first round... Nah, he can't even learn to close the curtains.

Signing him would have cost giving the Ravens two first round draft choices. Pay better attention to the differences. You’re already the most ridiculous poster on this site. No need to beat the **** out of it.

Nope
The Ravens didn't franchise him.
He was without a contract at all and was a free agent.

Better draft order. Thats what ive been hoping for most of this season. We all KNOW this team was going nowhere even with Dak.

That is a very small issue. They can just get rid of him in the off season. The biggest issue is Dak isn't any good. What the heck are they going to do? They can't march this same starting cast out there next year. The results will be the same. Dak was 3-5 before he got hurt. They are going to be a mess until Dak leaves than the rebuilding can begin. There is only one position in the upcoming draft that can help the Cowboys. A top QB!

Yes they did, they put the non exclusive franchise tag on Lamar so he was franchised but could still negotiate with other teams. Another team would have had to give up multiple 1st round picks to sign Lamar, and Baltimore would have had the ability to match any offer from another team.

It was a sham of a free agency experience for Lamar Jackson.

I'll say it a million times but I don't think people are going to want to hear it.

The fact that Cooper is willing to play from under center for most snaps is a big part of the reason why the running game looks so much better. Dak wants to play out of the gun and that makes running plays and play action much more difficult.

Overall Cooper is a low end back up QB. No one should be confused. That said, Dak needs to learn a few things here.

It had nothing to do with Romo or Prescott. How about a defense that can stop the other team from scoring 30+ points

DiNucci got picked up by the Saints yesterday, presumably just before we made the call, so yeah, time to start Lance
