Re-read and try to comprehend
I read it.......so coaches impact game results...I get it.
but somehow the Dak haters (not you perhaps), want Dak to over come coaching incompetence....

and I am not a Dak supporter. just calling out the double standard on some people...not you because you are not a dak hater

A few days ago I was saying that go Cooper's rush's arm should start wearing down. He's only good for 3 or 4 games. And then his arm strength drops off from too many reps, and it's starting to show
His arm has gone from below average to really unacceptable at this point.

I hate to say it, but losing that game was not all on Cooper Rush.
I would call out Mike McCarthy for refusing to stick with a running game that was clearly working.

sounded like it...it wasn't Rush's fault and coaching had an impact...... but then we have the other stories and arguments, why didn't Dak lift the team like a superman on his shoulders, jump tall building, stop speeding train, he should need nobody around him to succeed because 60M.

this is not a defense of Dak, but if coaching sucks, it impacts the team and anyone playing on it....its not better for one and worse for the other. right?
Right there he says "not all on Rush"...which to a reasonable human being means Mr. Shame does assign at least SOME blame.

As far as "coaching sucks effects everyone"...I'd say yes of course, generally speaking. Does that mean Zeke gets a pass?

There's the caveat: "Losing that game was not all on Rush."

Rush is purely a bus driver. Winning/losing games is very seldom on him. Remember his 5-1 record before this year? Yup, not on him. Why? Because a bus driver by definition does enough not to lose and limits TO's. That is what Rush does.

It's no a "caveat". It's a pure logical statement of fact.

Just as Rush doesn't get all the blame for a loss...the flip side is he does get SOME credit for wins. He of course doesn't put the team on his back. He of course doesn't make anyone better like all the great ones do.

But he does play well enough to (usually) not single-handedly screw it up. And a LOT of QBs do that. Not a terrible trait for a "noodle arm no other team wants".

A caveat can be a fact.

You said the same thing I just said.

Glad I'm not the only one that sees this every throw is a back shoulder or in the ground because he just can't get it there it's a shame if he had Jeff George's arm we might actually be able to do something because it seems like the team plays very hard for him

Yeah I got to laugh sometimes he survives in spite of himself he's like the little train that could.

He doesn't make too many horrible mistakes he does read the defense as well if he just had some power in that arm every time he throws I feel myself trying to help him from the couch get it there.
But many times the receivers contort themselves into all kinds of horrible positions and scoop it off the ground and flip around and get it and help him out.
For some reason it can hit them right in the hands when Dak throws it and they drop it go figure.
I've stopped trying to make sense of it all I just watch and laugh.

Folks to often want to be first to dunk on someone (hence this thread). Rush is who he is; a limited backup QB that generally makes the right play and can be a bus driver.

What in the world are folks expecting? Steve Young backing up Joe Montana?

I'd settle for Jason Garrett backing up Troy at this point. And what is it with Rush and these damn fumbles!?!?! Still gotta give props where due.. He managed the game today and aint screw it up.. though he seemed to be trying at times. We got a win.. um happy.. nuff said.

Yeah all three TDs today were Lynn Swann worthy contortions. But there is a perfectly simple explanation for what you've described here. It's guys leveling up because they know they have to in order to have a chance with the lesser talented guy in the lineup. Happens in every sport.. It's most noticeable in basketball where some guy you never heard of puts up 25 a night while the big dawg is out and then goes back to single digit scoring when the big dawg comes back.

Agreed I'm not sure why but it seems like all the receivers try extra hard for Rush they go out of their way to make the tough catches.
I've given up trying to figure it all out but it's a win and I'll take it nice to watch our running game be a little dominant see some touchdown passes.
I think every member of this forum would throw in a hundred bucks if we could buy him some arm strength for these last games we have coming up I think that would give us a puncher's chance of winning.
