Im sorry, it must be the offseason, because the obsession with TO on this board is unreal. I don't think he is going to play for us next year. ********, some of you have a short memory too. Im still pissed about the star incident.

The only reason TO is such a big star even after not playing, is the obsession withhim. THere are like 5 threads on the 1st page of this board right now about TO.

We should just make a TO forum.

Well I don't know for sure what TO undertones were, as I am sure he dictates to some extent what he may and may not be asked in an interview, but that wasn't my point, the point i was trying to make is how McNabb probably percieved what was said enlight of all the other critisism he has face because his position and race.

I think that initially, that could have been the case with McNabb but there has been plenty of time to understand the circumstances. There has certainly been plenty of coverage given so really, at least in my mind, no excuse to be ingnorant of the circumstances. Clearly, to me, this was not a race issue. One would have to reach, IMO, to come to that conclusion. McNabb should know better. To me, this latest interview does nothing to help his cause. Just let it die and say nothing would seem to be the best course of action for McNabb IMO.

Alot of the responses in this thread sound just like Philly fans in 2004 - making excuses for Owens and why he wasn't the problem, and how things "would be different".

Take it for what it's worth. If you feel yourself starting to believe some of this stuff, first look up Ockham's razor and then apply it.

After hearing Mcnabb [and talking to a few friends ...too SUBJECTIVE]mcnabb seems to have just as big an ego ,kind of like [thinking thats his team --ah hello!]. I agree [T.O. is a trouble maker AGREE],[but he produces non stop -- not without Garcia; or McNabb ...basically, he must have an effective QB to perform].

Obviously, I only speak for myself but I would take McNappie over anybody we have on our roster right now. I do not believe he is the best QB in the NFL but I would probably say his in the top 10 without question. Not top 5 but top 10. There are a few things I don't like about his game and I do have questions about his toughness. I know this almost sounds as if I'm provoking you but seriously, I do think there are questions. Having said that, he's one of the top players in the NFL. Anybody who would say differnent is pushing an agenda or ignorant in regards to McNabb's capabilities.

I don't see how any true fan would want this jerk on our team. How soon we forget how he dissed the entire franchise twice in a single game. Dissed every player to wear a cowboys uniform.

I can't believe people forget that moment. Player's sure don't forget. Emmitt didn't forget, during his retirement speech last year. He thanked George Teague for helping him defend the star. And for those who don't know who Teague was.

He was the guy who knocked Owens off the star the second time. Then the following year he gathered the entire defense around the Star and stood directly in the middle of the star. Then, he raised his arms up to the sky, just as Owens did, making sure his teammates hadn't forgotten what happened the last time the 49ers were in town.

Please let's keep Defending the Star for these players and all others to wear the Star. Please Jerry say no to T.O.!!!
