easy... less letters to type.

no self-respecting teenager types anything over 4 letters :)

they'd shorten it to prly....

You mean "fewer" letters to type.;)

"Rue the Day"

Rue -Base of gumbos or stews, made of flour and oil mixture

It takes a long time to make that stuff - You "rue" the day away

It also has a very strong flavor - some might even say bitter.

So, "rue the day" means to spend a day in the kitchen producing the base that will go in your gumbo and give it that extra flavor!

The best way to deal with spelling mistakes is to choose different words.

Be honest, how many times do you choose a different word because you don't know how to spell the one that you want to use? :)

I thought rue was a sort of gravy or something....meaning: you will make gravy on a particular day. I guess people that use that phrase are/were big fans of the movie TWISTER. I think that's the only time it has ever been said.;)

Me, I'm too vain to want to use a wrong spelling or word if I can help it. The idea someone could think I am uneducated grates on me.

Which bring me to my next question and a possibly sensitive one at that. Would you rather be a so called "metal-midget" or an actual midget?
