The wrong predictions from that thread...

Now that we've seen the comedy relief break down of how the game is going to go, let's look at a realistic scenario:


1) Romo throws for around 300 yards. 1 TD and 2 INT

2) Defense plays decently enough in the first half, holding Houston to 20 points.

3) Someone along the OL goes down and in comes Barron.

4) Romo gets sacked multiple times during the second half.

5) We almost get a 2nd TD on a pass to Bryant who gets popped and fumbles the ball. Everyone is in awe as the player with godzilla hands loses the ball. Houston returns it for a TD.

6) Houston runs up the score and finishes us off 35-7. Buehler tries a late field goal of 55 yards and shanks it.

7) Everyone is talking after the game about how it's a process and we'll improve and work to correct our mistakes

8) CowboysZone erupts with rage.

Houston wins, 42-17.

Andre Johnson gets 3 TDs.
Arian Foster gets 2.

If Dez is made a full time starter over Roy and we keep penalties under control and the defense doesn't completely bomb out again, I think we'll win.

1. Romo 300+ yds, 2 touchdowns, 1 int. Shaub, 255 yds, 1 touchdown, no ints.

2. Foster out gains all of our backs, 135 yds rushing, 3 tds. Marion Barber scores a touchdown.


Final score - Texans 31, Cowboys 24.

I hate to say it but I think our defense is going to get worked over and offense will score a total of 14 points. This is the week that forces Jerry's hand. Say what you want but those problems from the preseason have indeed carried over to the regular season. Our team has a mentality that they can just turn a switch and all of a sudden the "real" cowboys will play well. Well..... that just hasn't happedned and I don't see any real indication that they are taking our problems any more serious.

We have to score 25+ to even have a chance. Texans offense is too explosive to hold to 13-17 points.

At least Dallas is the favorite for the "moral victory" stat of most yards.

We always give the Cowboys 35 points in these threads.

What have you seen to believe we are capable of putting those kinds of numbers on the scoreboard?

Texans- feel good w and bragging rights
Cowboys- angst, despair and few more wagon jumpers as 8-8 looks better.

Leopards don't change their spots, especially hard headed Ivy league ones.

I hope I'm wrong but I am seeing 34-13 Texans. We will struggle to block their stunts and Shaub will beat our simple blitzes.
