Wow, you just got destroyed in your home opener, your QB is 35 coming off 2 back operations, and they D is pathedic, yea go ahead and get your heart broke again and again.

The QB. Is not 35,:D

My concerns have actually increased after watching game 1.

My worries about everyone other than Romo are the same or less. But I have legit concern about Tony.
I'll give it a couple of more weeks...but that was alarming.

Somebody's gotta be.

Jerry's been optimistic for years. This stuff really works. Even for others.

It seemed that he had so much time in the pocket. that when he decided to throw it, the receivers had gone further down field than he could throw.

- OL looks great. Murray had running room all game and they kept Romo fairly clean.
- D looks like it might be "average" instead of "worst ever". Pass rush wasn't bad at all. McClain was very active and looks like a very nice pickup so far.

The only real negative from this game was Romo. He was horrible and easily the #1 reason we lost. No getting around that. But I don't expect him to just go into the tank and have a bad Eli-like year. This is a guy who's put up a 90+ QB rating every year of his career. I expect him to get it going next week, and I think it was good for his psyche to get that last garbage-time TD. He finally looked like himself on that drive.

Sucks to be 0-1. But if Romo Is our biggest worry moving forward, well... let's just say I trust him to right the ship more than I'd trust the D to right the ship if they were the ones who sucked today. Shake this one off and get ready for the Titans.

Agree.

Romo was very rusty and was pressing. He made bad decisions. Also Murray fumbled and it was returned for a TD.

Everything else in the game was reasonable, not perfect, but reasonable.

If the Cowboys had Zero turnovers, they probably win that game.

Sure he was rusty and you were one of those who didn't want him to take a single snap in preseason. I said all summer he won't be sharp opening day due to all the missed practices and lack of preseason work. He didn't look sharp against Miami in the one half he played in preseason.

Romo had a very similar game at home vs the Giants in 2012.

Lots of early turnovers. Tentative and inaccurate for most of the game. Got it going towards the end but too little, too late.

As long as his back holds up, I'm really not worried about his play (hence the thread). All 3 INTs were mental mistakes, not physical ones. He'll watch the film and hate himself for it, but then he'll bounce back like he always bounces back from his occasional awful games.

The good news is that when he DOES get back to being Good Tony, he'll have an awesome OL and run game waiting for him.

Long season ahead. If the Giants lose at Detroit tomorrow night, only the Eagles will be sitting at 1-0... and their win was vs the Jaguars at home.

I am actually more optimistic after the game. Obviously it was a mess, but the defense showed up. If they can perform this adequately and add scandrick they'll be decent. The offense was great outside if Romo, if this was just rust from getting too few reps in the preseason, they are going to be fine. That o-line lived up to the loftiest of claims about them in the preseason.

Idk.....coming in the least of my concerns was Romo .....after today it looked like he was both physically and mentally overmatched. Once the body starts breaking down you become tenative and over compensate resulting in bad decision making. This next week will be telling......if he doesn't improve we may be looking at the beginning of the end. But I'll try and be optimistic.......for one more week....after that all bets are off.

It was alarming in that those 3 Romo ints, were entirely his fault, and Romo looked like a rookie qb out there, making bad reads.

Just asking here. If you're going to say that Romo will be okay, because he's been better in recent years, don;t you also have to say that the defense probably will go back to their pitiful form because thats what they've shown in recent years? I don't think you can cherry pick.

I'd have to agree. Realistically, this was Romo's rust removal game. He's had virtually no practice. He rarely has a bad game and if/when he does he bounces back strong. If there's anything to worry about , Romo is not it. I did see some good things from the defense and I love the running game. I'm more worried about the playcalling, in the redzone in particular.

His "rust" removal game should have occurred in the pre-season, along with our cornerbacks. I do agree about the bounce back game, we will see next week.

Sorry, I haven't been optimistic with this team since 2009. Can't see that changing any time soon.

without the gifts from romo and his bad game the 49ers offense exploded for all of 14 pts. I'll take that each week from the defense. Romo and co will get it poppin soon enough.
