I'm still optimistic

I would be pretty optimistic, even after an embarrassing loss. Except I don't see how we can not be concerned about Romo's play today until we see him back to his old self. He was really bad, and, while that happens pretty rarely with him, coming after the surgery it's something I think you have to be looking at pretty closely until he definitively proves otherwise.

The defense looked pretty good, though, all things considered. Relative to expectations. And the rest of the offense looked pretty tough. Good blocking, nice running lanes. Hated to see Demarco put that ball on the ground early, and that's a concern, but he played well after that.

Red should of challenged that play.

I'm optimistic, but for completely different reasons. I didn't expect the team to do anything this year.

I like where we're going with the line and think that in 2-4 years, once we get a new QB and head coach in here and have had time to build up the defense, we'll be in pretty good shape.

I wonder why our team was "rustier" than the visiting team. While the DL didn't seem quite as bad as many had feared, the 2nd half "shutout" the defense pitched isn't all that meaningful when you realize that the 9ers were simply playing a run heavy field position and ball control strategy after easily going up 28-3.

It's funny. I thought the defense would be our Issue yesterday & our offense would roll against anybody except a very few.

Instead we had a defense who played ok (except for that secondary oh my) & our offense looked high schoolish at times.
