Are you serious? You come out and ask someone to explain to you how Romo is better than Carter without counting stats, they do it, and then you come back with this?Sickwitit;2727200 said:all of those things are true but......all of thatt upside he has'nt done annything for the team that a 2 nd round dope fiend below average qb hasnt done.
No, I get it. I just think it's ridiculous, full of flawed logic, and wrong. Other than that, not a thing wrong with it.Sickwitit;2727218 said:you guys dont get my point.....what im saying is if romo dont pick up his play and consistance there will be a pic of him with his bags backed with a goofy face leaving valley ranch.

There isn't an NFL Coach or Scout alive who would agree with your takes and place Romo and Carter at equal levels.

Sickwitit;2727164 said:ohhh i stand corrected.....ok what about the eagles game, he threw that game granted he wasnt the only problem that game....the whole problem with the romo vs Q arguement is that...there is way more money and promise invested im romo and he hasnt shown much more success for this team than quincy did sure his stats kill quimcy but for the Dallas Cowboys romo is no better than quincy.

Un-BELIEVE-able.

Drew Brees and the Saints...no playoffs. Dan Orlovsky and the Lions...no playoffs.
In your world the two QBs are the same. However, in the real world not a single GM in the world would just as soon have Dan Orlovsky because the end result was the same.
One team says Drew Brees did not get us championship here but he is a championship caliber QB and if the cards fall right we can win with him.
The other team says Dan Orlovsky did not get us a championship and if we dont get a better QB we will never win a championship.
How hard is that to understand?

Funny cause I did watch that game and for some odd reason I don't recall Romo playing a single snap in that game. Weird.
Sickwitit;2727175 said:You tell me other than some stats how hes so much better than Quincy for the success of the TEAM
It's pretty simple. If you put Q on this team we go from being a legit playoff/superbowl contender to being a pretty solid pick for not only bottom of the NFC East but near the bottom of the entire NFC.
If you can't see how much more successful this team is with Romo than it is without (The three games without him this year should have cleared this up perfectly for people) then you've got issues. It's painfully obvious that he makes his offensive line look like they've got Probowl level players on it when in reality they're barely above average. You put pretty much any other QBs behind this line, whose names aren't McNabb or Big Ben and they will get absolutely destroyed cause they won't be able to scramble around enough to save themselves.
Sickwitit;2727200 said:all of those things are true but......all of thatt upside he has'nt done annything for the team that a 2 nd round dope fiend below average qb hasnt done.
Except give them an infinite better shot of winning every single game he's part of then when he's not. Defenses worry about what Romo can do and I'm certain there wasn't a defense in the league who feared anything about Q.

And none of the other 52 players on the game day rosters are playing good when it counts. So where are the threads saying that the other 52 players aren't any better than so and so who was here during one miracle season for Quincy Carter?
OR folks are simply using Quincy Carter as a transparent excuse to throw excrement at Tony Romo.bbgun;2727349 said:I find it hard to believe that such a minor figure in Cowboy history is eliciting this much passion all these years later. Maybe off-season boredom is to blame.
