I'm sure this is not what Quincy Carter had in mind 8 years ago

If we had Q right now we'd be a 6-10 team at best cause he'd be pulling the entire team down. With Romo he gives us an immediate shot in every single game that he's in.

not to bash on romo but did you watch the Rams game this year?!:lmao: I never saw Quincy throw a game away like that one good GOD!

Actually I feel the need to ask you the same thing. Did you watch the Rams game this year?

Tony Romo didn't play in that game. He got hurt the game before against the Cardinals and Brad Johnson was our QB in that game. So how can you "bash on him?"

Now let's talk about Quincy throwing away a game. Did you see the Cardinals game in 2002? I did. I was there live.

Maybe you should watch the games more closely? You seem to have missed an awful lot of facts.

I remember that game. He threw like 3 or 4 picks and then Hutch was named the starter. Good times.

I wanted to put my eyes out after that game. The ugliest thing I have ever seen. I still feel I am owed a refund on my ticket.

If I follow your analogy, you are saying that you will take the average girl (Trent Dilfer) over the hot cheating wife (Dan Marino) because the average girl will come through for you day in and day out.

That analogy is all wrong. Trent Dilfer (the average girl) did not come through day in and day out, he was a JAG at QB and that is why the year after the Ravens won the SB with him he was kicked to the curb.

If the average QB comes through day in and day out, guess what Judas...............he becomes the hot girl!!! He starts going to probowls and he is then thought of as a great QB.

Dilfer never did this, he was a JAG and only won the SB because the Ravens had one of the best defenses in the history on the league that year. It literally didnt matter who the QB was.

So does that mean that you keep the average QB that leads you to a SB ring or do you try to upgrade to a better QB regardless???............The Ravens apparently figured they could do better because after that SB win, Dilfer never played another down for the franchise.

So your analogy is totally whack, just because a team wins DESPITE THE QB, doesnt mean you choose to go with a lesser QB. Any GM that hasnt had a lobatomy would upgrade to Dan Mariono over Trent Dilfer regardless of if the team won the SB or not with Dilfer.

ohhh i stand corrected.....ok what about the eagles game, he threw that game granted he wasnt the only problem that game....the whole problem with the romo vs Q arguement is that...there is way more money and promise invested im romo and he hasnt shown much more success for this team than quincy did sure his stats kill quimcy but for the Dallas Cowboys romo is no better than quincy.

I just checked the box score. He threw four picks, and adding insult to injury, we missed the extra point after a long TD to Bryant. You may have attended the worst Dallas game ever.

He's actually so much better than him that it's laughable that some can't see it.

Romo is better than Quincy.

Romo don't smoke.

QC will light it up

unless there is some coke.

Romo has a money job

QC aint making cash.

Well, I guess he makes enough

to get another stash

But if QC wins another game

he earns a dollar more.

Now he has enough

to get another score.

Whip it...whip it good!

Why don't you ask me to do something hard?

Better scrambler. He can avoid sacks that Quincy couldn't. He can even turn busted plays into first downs.

Better passer. Far more yards passing. Far more TDs. Far better QB rating. Far better completion %.

Better leader. Ask Joey Galloway about how Q threw him under the bus in a team meeting.

Better character. Isn't involved in drugs. Doesn't demand meetings with Jerry. Isn't trying to incite racial tensions in the locker room. Doesn't get insecure about every QB brought in.

Better winner. He wins and he is going to get better at winning. Quincy could never carry a team the way Tony can.

Smarter. It isn't even close. Tony doesn't have a bad game and say "all the great ones do." He takes full blame.

You are aware that Romo didn't play in the Rams game, aren't you? he was out with a broken finger and Bradley rag arm Johnson played.

That 2nd round dope fiend never made us a contender and never would have.

There isn't an NFL Coach or Scout alive who would agree with your takes and place Romo and Carter at equal levels.

I simply don't agree with you at all. We were never even a contender or had high expectations at all with Crankcase at the helm. Romo makes us a contender.

A contender? A contender for what? Hell, we don't even win playoff games anymore. Hard to contend for a Super Bowl when you can't win playoff games.

And no, I'm not saying its all Romo's fault. And no, I'm not saying Carter is anywhere near Romo's talent.

Evidently Dan Marino and Quincy are one and the same. Neither led their team to a championship. Might as well have Quincy on your team.

Their are a lot of good common sense people, but their common sense evidently does not transfer to the football world.

See, I am not anywhere near that comment, and I am never going to be nuzzled up beside that comment.

I see it as we "haven't won" not that we "can't win." It's the same as when Peyton Manning had not won yet. People said he could not. Well, those people all look stupid now.

Success is what happens when opportunity meets talent and preparation. Tony Romo will get there. I do not believe he "can't win." I never once believed Quincy Carter could win.

Therein lies the huge dichotomy and difference.
