Honestly, I think that video screen is just too big.

Its too bad they couldnt build one that conformed to the shape of the seating. Sort of oblong and bending, a circular one piece that went around the stadium instead of connecting 4 screens. Its just looks so pieced together to me.

Thanks so much for the photos. My son and I are going to the opening game and we are pumped! Thanks for the sneak peek.

no idea how the structure will handle wind But I know the ballpark gets very windy and it is just a few hundred feet away.

It would be something if the stadium was real windy after texas stadium only had wind in the upper levels really.

another thing to keep in mind is that the field is like 50 feet below ground level.

So how high is this scoreboard from the field, I would think this thing is going to be a problem for punters, no?

why are people so worried about the scoreboard, and it falling?

Do people really think the board falling is an issue?

I don't get this fear either. While it is a large video board, the support system holding it up is really large as well. I don't see people worried about arenas around the country with center-hung video boards.
All I know is that accidents do happen. Nobody thought the practice facility would collapse either. However, if the big screen did fall, chances are that nobody would be there anyway. The Cowboys are only there 8 days out of the year (excluding preseason and playoffs) and then only on the field for 3 hours of the day. So theres a very small chance that if it did fall that the teams would be there playing anyway.

You know, I was thinking the same question in regard to the punters. Anybody have thoughts on this? Thanks.

The screen is not going to fall. Punts and kickoffs are not going to hit it either. The designs have been gone over with fine tooth combs.

If you look at the height of the screen and then the ants, I mean, people on the floor, you will see that the screen is pretty far up there. No punter is going to have any problems with hitting the screen. I've seen McBriar punt high to allow for the coverage unit to get down field and it would not come close to hitting the screen.
