What if Cundiff had another chance in the Denver game? No, I take that back. What if Cundiff had two more chances in that Denver game? And he missed all three, not just the one he did actually miss.
Cundiff missed a kick that was seven yards shorter than Feeley's in a partially enclosed stadium on turf. What does that have anything to do with how we would feel.
Another poster stated that the conditions of the Giants game weren't ideal. I asked him if he could post what the field conditions were. According to the "gamebook" on NFL.com it was sunny and cool (in the low 40s). Not necessarily a bad situation to be kicking in, but let's not make excuses for Feeley he's missed one under 30 yards also this year.
If any kicker is proving their worth this year it's Rackers, Nedney, Hall, Vanderjagt, Wilkins and Dawson. All are batting 90% or better.
BTW, Cundiff is at 68% for the year, but he has very few attempts.
