clearly SF is a more successful franchise the last 30 years than Dallas when looking at results on the field

anyone claiming otherwise is an idiot or massive homer

How many superbowls 49ers have won in the last 30 years?

If you are ok by just winning regular season games and just playing at superbowls, ok.

ok let's look at all the so call promising QBs. how many has been busts? oh there's a list of them and it's long. but let's look at all the ones now that the so call media experts and the know it all fans, let's look, wait but first let's take a promising QB and put not a good OL in front of him, that promising RB, uh promising WRs, TE, what do you have "Derek Carr".
Now back to what I was originally about to state, all these people that have all these Promising QBs, Jacksonville, Baltimore, Cinci, Chargers, Eagles, Miami, Packers,Steelers, Cardinals, Who else, I know I am leaving out some, anyway what have they done? their stats/numbers are below our QB, the only QB that has equal numbers/stats to our is Mahomes and with his teammates help he has the rings, congratulations to his team for helping him out in the games they need to win to get those rings, they didn't let him down therefore he was able to come through to do his job to help them win, other than the rings (which is big) he's on par with Dak.
I used the word "promising" for a reason. I said that because, obviously, there are no guarantees that a player will be great, just because he's a high draft pick. However, the odds are much better, which is why the players are rated.

That said, a QB isn't necessarily the best choice for every team. For Dallas, it might be a NT or RB, depending on what's available.

Ok, forget dominant.

We are below average running the ball and stopping the run.
So this is my next….how long are we going to be a below average against the run? We’ve shut down the Browns, Steelers and Giants. Those teams have ran on other teams. If we stop the Lions are we still gonna be bad against the run because of what Rsvens and Saints did to us weeks ago?

Do the Browns, Giants or Steelers have a QB?

Or could we just commit to stoping the run?

1 dimensional teams are easy to contain and don't play well in the playoffs.

We should know this better than anyone.

Do Lions have one? I know they had one last season….2024 is playing closer to what Fields and Jones has and they’ve done it with inferior weapons and without his offensive line. Make no mistake on his best day Goff to me is one of yep better quarterbacks but I’ve yet to see that guy this year. I don’t know there’s just this hype or the Lions and I’m so confused based on what I’ve seen. If someone wants to tell me Cowboys aren’t up to par due to injuries there’s a valid excuse.

It’s just funny though the sample size is so small that we really don’t know what any of these teams are. Yet, the Cowboys aren’t afforded that same respect. The goal post keeps getting pushed back.

The Lions have 8 players on their offense on IR. I don't follow them, so not sure if any are starters or impact players.

Again I am not impressed with the Lions. If they were legitimately good their HC would not have to gamble so much.

However, they have had success running the ball.

Rams giving up 4.8 yards per carry this season.
TB giving up 4.9 yards per carry this season.
Arizona giving up 4.6 yards per carry this season.
Seattle giving up 5.0 yards per carry this season.

So it appears they have not played a good run D team yet this year. Are we one???

I don’t know. I don’t think we are. But to me if you suck against the run it’s not hard to fix. You can sell out to stop the run. Then they will air it out on you and I’d honestly take my chances and let them air it out. They don’t want Goff to throw 50 times they want to run. Make them do something else.

That is the approach we have to take, which is the complete opposite off DQ.

How close have they come to winning vs US?
are you unable to comprehend the question?

It is and it’s more depressing lol. I’m sure it sucks worse being a 12 win team hope then it is winning 4 games and knowing you suck lol.
2007 100%. 2014 and 2016 were the only years besides 1995 did I think we were contenders. No other years did I think we had any chance at a SB.

2014 the D was horrible so I knew no chance

2007 I really thought we would meet the Pats in the SB

2016 no way with a rookie QB

And does coming close is enough for you? If its, then i will understand you clap for mediocrity, so answer is:

- Closer
- Yes

What I don’t understand is how people here think coming close to win = win. Winning is binary, you do or don’t.
