A chance for one and done.
Every team that makes the playoffs faces that chance. I would rather face that chance than sitting home for the playoffs and having a chance at a high draft pick.

False hope and artificial hype = MONEY
I agree. One of our posters mentioned that some of us feel "entitled" to having sucess here but the media and Jerry's mouth are responsible for much of that.

I'm only entitled to what I put into something......i put in nothing and expect the same

You mean 4 super bowls? You're right, it's disappointing. But they had great seasons right up until the end. I'll take that over being a Browns fan with no hope ever.

The 1980, '81, and '82 seasons were fantastic. We lost all three championship games. But I wouldn't trade those season for our last three. Even though they ended poorly, I had hope we'd go to the SB.
I mean I get it I’m just saying in theory if the goal is to win a SB whether you’re the first loser or the last loser it’s still the same results.

I knew someone would bring up Dak, some of you just can’t resist. The Cowboys wouldn’t even be making the playoffs if it wasn’t for him. We would likely be no better than 1-4 right now without him. Stop complaining and be glad we have a viable QB that gives us a chance every year.
And on cue, somebody has to rush to defend Rayne.

The poster just used his resigning as an example.....unwad your panties

You’re defending a poster who claimed all Dak does is beat up bad teams. You’re no more clued up than him. Congratulations on lumping yourself in with him.

You have to look at it like this . What owner & son run things in the NFL ? Owners hire then they sit in the suite slap backs grease palms talk golf make sure the cheerleading squad has everything they need and they HIRE a GM who hires a COACH .

I’m reminded of the dysfunctional Raiders with Davis Sr handing off to Davis Jr and they are no closer to catching Andy Reid in the AFC West ,

Joe Douglas of the Jets I heard not one word of him being in on the coach firing . I heard things like was Aaron Rodgers consulted ?

When the QB is thought to have a need to know but the GM is an afterthought in HC firing that’s dysfunction. Joe Douglas will be shown the door in Jan if this Jet never takes off .

Yup.

But here we are, people in love with “almost had it!” teams, claiming they are better than the cowboys just because they “show” at championships games.

If memory serves me well, you need to actually win that game to make it count.

To me, the 49ers are as bad as us, just in a different way.

Weird assumption on your part.

Defending someone's right to do something doesn't mean one agrees with them

The constitution is here for people like you....congratulations

If you didn’t agree with him you wouldn’t have defended what he said. It’s obvious you’re one of those who doesn’t support Dak. Do you consider that a weird assumption on my part?

No no no the 49ers under Lynch & Shanahan ( not the owner ) have owned the Cowboys lately and that’s the truth . Football men running an organization what a concept .

The Hunts in KC sit back and watch football men fill up the trophy case .

It seems silly to include SF. They have been a perennial NFC contender. Not many (If any) one and done playoff runs from them.

Who is saying they don’t own the cowboys in games.

I was talking about winning championships.
