You can never blow up the memories. We will always remember Texas Stadium

LOL @ Kraft sponsoring the stadium implosion. I swear, only the Cowboys will get someone to sponsor them to blow up a stadium.

I don't think the Cowboys had anything to do with it. It was the city of Irving. They owned the stadium.

I watched the NFLN coverage (same as local coverage I believe). I swear I had flashes of great memories as it came down. Landry's silhouette in the shadow, Staubach's last comeback against the Skins, the DCC running out of the tunnel. And just like that, the stadium was gone.

Correct you are sir. They charged $25 per car to watch the implosion but after some bad publicity they decided they would donate it all.

It's amazing how efficient these implosions are. She was down in about 30 seconds.

Lame interview by the local tv guy. Interviewed a lady who had never even watched a game there and just went out there because her mom was a fan. Surely they could have found someone better.

Weird. Right before it went down, the image that came to mind was that NFL Films shot of Tom Landry's silhouette in the shadows with the sun coming through the hole.

I watched it on my TV for free.

And then Dale Hansen had to come on and be a stuck up ole ******* about it. Saying he ain't sentimental about buildings.... Dude just needs to shut his trap.

Yeah, whatever. Tough guy.

Everytime I see the replay I get chills go up my spine.

Now it's literally a hole in the ground.

Forever grateful that I got my chance to make my pilgrimage.

Me too. I saw us beat Carolina there.

Anyone who claims he's a Cowboy fan and claims he didn't get somewhat sentimental or emotional seeing Texas Stadium going down is either not a Cowboy fan or is just plain ole lying.

It was our Mecca and I'm glad I got my chance too.
