I know it is only 3 games into 07 season but you have to admit there are definite improvements being shown
1.Offensive Line
they can pick up a blitz! It is no longer a jail break with whiffs and missed assignments
2,3 weeks; 3 defenses with pedigree; 3 defenses saying "no mas" by the 4th quarter!!
Our oline is beating opposing defenses into submission and imposing our will on them.
Would you want to face Davis for 4 quarters??? He seems to have his motivation in order
3. is it just me or does Marion Barber have better long speed this year? the same goes for Whitten. They seem faster or are the defenses just dead tired?
By the way, Whitten has taken his game to another level.
4.call it confidence or swagger but everyone seems to be feeding off each other.
Gone from the vocabulary are: "bus driver"; "dont lose the game for us"; "protect a lead"
The fear of the "glare" is gone as well.
Winning is fun and it seems they are having fun on the sidelines. The coaches are showing confidence in the players and the players are coming thru
5. addition of Spencer--i have to believe this trial by fire and early playing time will pay off big time. He was not just a one dimensional sack artist in college; check out his tackles for loss in his senior year. The guy is a play maker.
6. Hamlin--this one was obvious.
He also seems to play with fire and aggression, not in fear
7.a healthy Henry--another obvious one
also: Romo looks much more comfortable in the pocket. It seemed that the strategy last year was to pinch from the outside and keep him in the pocket where he couldnt improvise, but it is almost like he is making improvisions between the tackles with little sidesteps and shuffles instead of running around play ground style
Kudos to Garret-- who i think is the biggest improvement to the 07 edition. Where are all the critics who said "it is crazy to hire a coordinator before a head coach!!"
Seems to have worked out so far.
