My understanding is that it doesn't matter if he was in rehab, when they contact a player and he can't make it to where the sample is to be collected, then the league sends someone to where the player is at to retrieve the sample...so I don't know what defense the NFLPA would have...so I think he's done either way.

If they sent someone there and he refused to take then I agree he is toast. I basically thought they were saying because he wasn't able to take the test because he was in rehab....aka not available to be tested.

And that is kind of stooping kind of low for the league to be honest....scheduling a test when a guy is trying to straighten himself out, but I do get that opens a ton of worms.

When he develops his swim move he is going to be deadly, his speed is amazing to see and he's a wrap up tackler.

That was actually me toning it down several octaves...
I think Blandino is a self-serving idiot and Goodell has a God complex.

That said, there's nothing about me that would want something like you described to happen to them.

Well I'll wait until then. As of right now we have heard nothing about a suspension. Have we even heard of a failed drug test aside from shock reporter?
Stephen Jones said his appeal will be heard in 7 to 10 days

I would think that there are HIPPA laws that would protect him while he was in rehab. Probably not a road the NFL wants to go down.

He looks a little wild at times but he is seriously FAST! We have no one with his type of explosiveness!

Exactly. His speed you can't teach. But he is very raw. He's a little like DeMarcus Ware in his early years. Ware had only one move for the longest time, but you could see his talent. I honestly believe had RG not had the suspensions, he would be at Ware's level. But he has too far to come back from, and I really can't invest in him just right now because he faces a year-long suspension and I don't know if he can kick the habit enough to be reliable.

Really a shame because his speed is just sick.

It wasn't a failed test. He missed it cause he was in rehab

Yes it is. Use your head though. If a guy has a problem and enters into a treatment facility to get right and while in there a "random" test was issued and was missed is the same as being at your house and not going to the test because you don't want to?

To punish a guy for trying to get himself corrected from a drug problem is insane

I'm sure there are some provisions to collect a sample if they're in rehab. But the league has to take this stance because you as well as I know that if it allows a loophole, everyone will try to use it.

No chance he wins the appeal. When was the last time any member of the Cowboys organization won any decision against the NFL?

And the worst part is this will be an open ended timetable, so Goodell decides when it ends. Good luck with that. I think we've seen his last snaps as a Cowboy. Trade him to GB or NY and the suspension will be lifted after an appropriate time.

Gregory looks to have improved from last year. He has talent, no doubt. Just needs to stay off the drugs. It would be nice if he wins his appeal or doesn't get suspended next year. That would allow the Cowboys a little more draft flexibility.

Sorry, but I'm not counting on Gregory, and neither should the Cowboys. Any flexibility in the draft shouldn't include the fact that Gregory is going to be available to us. Just consider him a bonus if he doesn't get suspended and if he can stay off the weed.

just further enforces need to get DE in draft and sign DE FA. Gregory is too unreliable and Tank has bad back.

I'd love to know the details. How is that even possible assuming he was at the facility??? They come meet you if they know your location.
Not sure, I'm sure all the details will come out but if he was in rehab and they came there and he refused then no way he has grounds for appeal. Just my thinking is the league never came to give him the test

I'm not sure what those 2 guys were watching but Gregory was everywhere. He chased down Sproles from behind, put pressure on Wentz all game. On the sack he didn't chase Wentz down, Wentz was in the pocket and didn't have time to run.

Gregory was very fast and was very good in the run game. If he can get on track and stay clean I think we have a top 10 talent
his speed showed today. THere were a few plays where he got off the ball quick or was able to run down the RB from behind.

the potential is still there, but does need to work on his technique so his speed doesn't take him out of the play.
