In & Out Burgers

For those who don't eat beef and happen to be in Chicago, go try Just Turkey. Their turkey burgers are unbelievable.. One of their locations put Fatburger out of business...exaggerating, but their turkey burgers are ridiculously good.

Well, I tried my first hamburger from In & Out today and they taste great! Now, I'm not sure if it's any better than Five Guys Burgers.

Oh, and while I was waiting in the drive through, there was a man in a construction truck behind me and when I went to pay for my food I told the guy at the window that I wanted to pay for the food for the guy behind me.

The guy at the window said, do you know him? I said, sure I do! So, I paid $11.32 and drove off with my burger.

I just wonder what the guy behind me though when he went to pay for his food?

:D

Nicely done. I've got a friend who used to do that at the toll booth, before the days of tolltags, she'd pay for herself and the person behind her, just for the fun of it.

I've got a Liberty Burger just down the street from my office, and they are my regular stop for Monday night dinner on the way home from work. They're a little pricey and a little precious/upscale, but the burgers are worth it.

I don't really like In-N-Out but my Wife loves them. I like 5 Guys, they are pretty good.

I'd put this up against anything.

In and out is garbage, I can't stand their burgers. My GF hates them to, they litteraly go in and out of her. LOL 5 Guys is a great burger, so much better than in and out.

I have never had the chance to experience In-n-Out, but I have had Five Guys plenty. It is pretty good, but definitely not the best in it's niche. For the price, I have had better burgers. Steak n' Shake, Cookout, Fuddruckers, Red Robin... I would put them all above Five Guys.

You aren't missing much, except the long wait for a mid grade burger.

The price is not an issue to me. That argument is always lame. Like saying a steak at Fridays is as good as one of the places that specialize in steak. You get what you pay for mostly, think about a Mickey D's value menu...mostly garbage.

Sorry, but Cookout is the only burger I have ever thrown away in my life. Flat out nasty. The Red Robin burgers claim to be gourmet...more like garbage, again nasty. Steak and shake does a decent job, but not a place that I would go to often because of locations here. Fuddruckers is great, love their product, but again it is a location thing. Five guys is consistent, that is their draw, whatever I order from there is the same everytime. Fresh, cooked to order, and to me worth the money.

Unfortunately not many places make a great burger anymore without having to pay for it, or wait for 20 minutes.

My one complaint about Five guys is that the burger has to be made well done.

Never had in & out even when I have been (lived for a short time) to Cali where they are plentiful.

Oh, hell yes! I miss Blakes really bad...I used to eat those all the time and I would have them put green chile on them.

I really need to go back to Albuquerque!!

No kidding, man. Living up here in Seattle, that's one of the big things I miss about living in Texas.

I love me some Whataburger.

+1 We used to have one here in Roy, Utah, but for some reason it closed.

I live about 200 yards from a Whataburger. As a matter of fact, I can see it right now out my patio door as I am posting this. They are great, just get tired of them. 5 Guys is good, but too pricey. Only know of one here, and it's on the strip. In-n-out is way over rated. Carls Jr. is great, but not many in Austin. 2 I think in the area. Looks like I'm stuck with Burger King. Tried that place in Dazed and Confused, and that is the greasiest crap there is in Austin. Don't go there. Good thing we have the best BBQ here.

My first stop when I go home to Phoenix, every time. Wish they would expand out to CA.

Its a matter of taste and opinion. I do a lot of traveling and have eaten at a lot of different Five Guys in a lot of cities. And in my opinion, they are hardly consistent. Some places are great and others are bland. That's why I prefer other chains because I don't have to guess what I'm getting. I will confess that I've only had Red Robin twice, but both experiences were great. Don't get me wrong though... I do like Five Guys (obviously since I eat there a lot). I just don't think it's the best option IMHO.

For JonJon. If you try Red Robin, get the Royal Robin. It's the one with the fried egg in there. That is tasty.

In Dallas Jakes and Kellers make the best...... while In N Out, Steak n Shake, Culluvers seem very weak compared.

I used to go to Kellers for the car shows.
