In & Out Burgers

You're more than welcome to like or dislike Whataburger, and I have absolutely no problem with that. Everyone is entitled to opinions, and it's not wrong.

However, I'm just commenting on the part I've bolded - to point out that it is 100% factually incorrect. Whataburger actually uses some of the highest quality beef in any quick serve restaurants. It's high quality 100% beef, and it always has been.

If you don't like it, like I said, that's totally ok - but let's not pass off opinion as fact, when its totally baseless.

Point taken, and I stand corrected. I did probably speak out of my u-no-what, as far as the part you highlighted and I appreciate you setting me straight.

No worries. I'm not trying to come across as brash, and like I said, I'm totally ok with you not liking it/us or thinking we're overrated or whatever - we just take a lot of pride in the actual quality of the core product.

Veggies, meat, chicken, etc - you can be sure that there is a LOT of care and standards that are met with the food. You my not like the prep of it, but you can sure it's high quality.

Best cheap burgers? Burger King. Wendy's isn't too bad either. Ultimate cheeseburger from JITB works as well. Worked at a Mickey D's in high school. Take the Big Mac. Whataburger doesn't have a cheap menu.

I thought you eat chicken?
Heck, I don't know what's what. I just went off memory. Maybe it's something that starts with a S.

All I know is I eat chicken, turkey, and fish.

At Whataburger? What's on their current menu that would fit a value menu? I don't eat much there beyond a Whatachicken sandwich.

A pescatarian just eats fish. So, you don't eat beef... I think that's called a "non-texan" ;-)

Ha! I grew up eating beef and ate it until I was 21. So I know the taste of beef and pork products. Just made a couple of diet changes and so yeah, I'm a Houstonian now. lol

You know why restaurants have a "value" menu? Because the quality of food they use for them is so low quality, that they can sell it for $.99 and still turn a huge profit.

If we sold anything for $.99, we'd lose money, because the food portion alone is worth more than that.

And basic business sense says money in > money out.

The restaurants that have value menus don't do it because they really care about the customers (not saying they don't care about the customer, just talking about the reason behind their value menus,) they do it because it costs them next to nothing.

You get what you pay for.

I'll be a Houstonian soon. In the geographical sense, not the diet sense lol.

Ya know, as a native Texan, I should probably feel guilty for saying this. But, Whataburger's BURGERS SUCK! Always have, apparently always will.

Their meat is virtually tasteless and paper-thin, and there's a reason it is. It's some of the cheapest quality-grade purchased in the fast-food market.

Their bun's taste is WAY too sweet to begin with. Then their halfhearted attempt at toasting them fails miserably, and only enhances the sweetness, while leaving 1/2 the bun soggy.

Now, @ 2am on a sunday morning, their breakfast taquitos rule! But I've NEVER been able to understand the "their hamburger's are the best" crowd. But then, like I always say... Opinions on food, music, beauty etc etc, are ALWAYS subjective.

I used to be in the same boat as you. I hated Whataburger up until I got a job there in high school. I can tell you the food is definitely not of low quality.

We have a Whataburger in our parking lot and our 200 or so employees(lots of college kids) constantly talk about you guys not having a value menu. I don't know what kind of crap MacDonalds puts in their $1.00 spicy chicken sandwich but I like it. $1.00 fries are good and $1.00 any size Coke. Do you guys use better Coke?
