Have you considered that the responses are persistent because nothing has been done about it? We've found success and failures over the years, and I surely have acknowledged the positives, but they don't outweigh the main negative, being Jerral Jones and his piss poor job of running this team. Bro, I've been told to find another team more than once and I'm as die hard a Cowboys fan as you'll meet outside of this forum. Yall are like family to me. I've been involved with this forum since before it was cowboyszone, when I was a young teenager. I've seen folks come and go and I've seen various different takes that didn't always align with the common narrative. I've tried to remain optimistic, but Jones makes it incredibly hard. I'm starting to understand the constant negative output from some posters. They're just fed up, bro. It's the same crap year in and year out, and nothing ever changes. What I'm asking is why do we choose to fight with each other when the main problem gets a free pass? Why haven't we organized and forced a change?
It doesn't matter we understand that people are upset we don't need to hear about it 24/7 365 I don't need to consider anything I come on here because I'm a Cowboys fan that means I don't need this place to feel like I'm in enemy territory and like I said it is OK to discuss the negatives of the team it's OK to say things that are true but if it's all you say if you exaggerate and you say we're the worst team in the history of football and you use words like historically bad when none of it actually is true we are top 16 bad teams are not constantly get shown on prime time bad teams are not win in top six in the regular season did not win 36 games two division titles and been to the playoffs 5 last eight years that is the opposite of being bad.

Yes I understand we've fallen short we haven't been to an NFC championship game in so long and it hurts and it's disgusting and it and it feels bad to lose every single time you're in the playoffs but there are 20 or more teams in the NFL that wish they had the kind of success the Cowboys had because they are in a much worse position I don't care what you all say the grass is not greener the turf could be much worse it could be full of potholes and losing seasons back-to-back to back-to-back i mean when you look at the Cleveland browns have NOT won a division since the 90s i mean can you imagine that?

Bro, we have been historically bad at home this season. That's a valid statement. I don't buy the "we're not as bad as so-and-so" argument. We're the freakin Cowboys. We have the biggest, strongest fanbase in the world, but we're always so busy fighting each other that we choose to not organize and force our team's owner's hand. I don't understand it. Instead of trying to fight somebody's negative emotions, why don't we try to understand them, and take it out on the primary cause....Jerral W Jones? We all know he's the problem. Why haven't we tried to do something about it?

Over the last week, many of us here on the Zone have heard something like this a number of times: “If you don’t like how the Cowboys are run, just go to another team. It’s Jerry’s right as owner to do whatever he wants, and if you don’t like it, leave”. I would like to address this idea.

What is often overlooked in this genre of response to our frustration is that people are not fans of a team for logical reasons. We are not choosing our football team like we would if we were buying a commodity which is the same everywhere you get it. We are emotionally aligned with our team for a number of reasons.

I, and many of us here on the zone, follow the Cowboys because of what they represented in their past. At their best they are quintessentially American. For those of us from North Texas and the surrounding states, the Cowboys are also part of our culture.

My grandmother who lives in the tiny Oklahoma town where Troy Aikman was raised brought me to the Dallas Cowboys. It is quite simply a part of me. I cannot just up and leave and neither can most of us here. The Cowboys are family for many of us and preserve the memories of those long gone who also rode with the star. I’m sure many here have similar stories.

So no, we cannot just go find another team.

What they have become and how this organization is managed is nothing we can be proud to associate with. What it has come to represent in its modern form is disgusting. It is deeply painful to see the franchise we love and its storied history be cheapened and erased by decades of nothing short of a circus directed by a man who cares for nothing but himself.

Do you understand now?
Find a new team or one will be assigned for you.

WE have watched so many games and teams be competitive. Just today, lions and vikings. We know someone gonna lose. But lose with dignity.

We lose by pulling our shorts down. In the first qtr.

We are so desperate and destitute, we have resorted to chewing our own arm off.
The "find another team" routine is the epitomy of giving up. They cant encourage and inspire. these desperate losers have to chase off any ally.? Just to cope with epic losing.

What do you propose we do about it?

The Lions and Vikings game was excellent. Great ball on both sides, exchanging haymakers and going toe to toe until the end. Looks like the Niners and Chiefs game will be the same. It's fun watching these teams exchange their best shots and keep going until it's over. We don't see that too often in Dallas, at least at a high level. It feels like when we see them get hit, they go belly up and take it. Too much boom or bust action. I really wish that wasn't the case.

Sure I’d love to lose more valiant but in the end your record is the same

We’re 3-3 whether we just get hammered or barely lose

The real question is how do the coaching staff and players respond the next week

It really is week to week league but yes we could be more entertaining

I’m gonna go out on the limb and say NO and raven and lions fans loved it

Hard to say, man. It hasn't always been the case. I wasn't a big Garrett fan, but his teams had some grit to them. Terrible, outdated offensive scheme, but they weren't afraid of punching you in the face. Early McCarthy teams were scrappy. Not always the most talented, but they put up a fight, even against the best teams.

Maybe it has something to do with getting rolled on the ground in the playoffs repeatedly. They gained a reputation of being soft, the problems weren't addressed, and they became soft. Maybe the coaches (McCarthy and Quinn) weren't tough enough on them through their failures over the years and this is the result? Just spitballing right now, but nonetheless, this team shouldn't be as bad as what's been displayed on the field.

So you keep such tight track of everyones comments.

No you dont. You just emotionally overreact on anything that makes you mad, regardless of what they might have said before or thought....which you totally missed..

For 99% of peoples here..they are every bit as loyal fan as you are...mkay. get that through your skull.

30 years of NOTHING!!! What are people supposed to do? Pull Jerry's pants down and continue kissing??? I'll rather call a pig a pig. Don't care how much lipstick people try to put on them. They are still pigs.

It's the reality here. Hell, we still have guys here bringing up the Romo days and complaining about that, lol

I say, everything is fair game here......whether I like it or not.

I hear you bro. Hard to sniff this out. I think the money and club thing plays a part. You dont always know you are drinking the poison.
If we are influenced by the grand illusion...the big money....why us and not other lucrative markets?

If the team was at least competitive you could see the other sides point. But this team is horrible. Horrible with the highest paid quarterback and receiver:huh:Where else does this happen but in Dallas? Two players taking up over 90 million and your team still sucks. Then you have Mike McCarthy. He has as much offensive imagination as an lobotomized rat. Yet? I'm supposed to pull out my white towel for one quarter if I was dumb enough to go to a game in Dallas. The so called "just find another team is completely wrong" I say if you want to root for a loser-GO and root for Cleveland. People in Dallas don't live in Cleveland. That used to be- football wise- ONE difference between the two cities before Jerry took complete control. Dallas was respected and at times feared. Now it's just a JOKE! A very bad one at that.
