This happens most when we are critical of just 1 player. Everyone else on roster is fair game, but hell hath no fury if you say anything negative about this 1 particular player. He's incapable of EVER doing anything wrong.
Also incapable of doing anything right

What a ridiculous conjecture.

Fair, respectful criticism of a front office that has made comically poor decisions for decades is completely warranted at this point.

Being told to find another team over it is beyond childish.
Most Men avoid therapy.....it will be okay!! :lmao:

You'll look back and realize winning 5 SuperBowls out of 58, across 2-3 generations in your family is a gift from the football gods!

Complaining about Jerry Jones is entitled criticism.

I suggest switching to the Detroit Lions....you could be part of their 1st SuperBowl Fandom IF you leave now...per Parcells " bandwagon is closed after Thanksgiving":muttley::lmao2::lmao2:

Over the last week, many of us here on the Zone have heard something like this a number of times: “If you don’t like how the Cowboys are run, just go to another team. It’s Jerry’s right as owner to do whatever he wants, and if you don’t like it, leave”. I would like to address this idea.

What is often overlooked in this genre of response to our frustration is that people are not fans of a team for logical reasons. We are not choosing our football team like we would if we were buying a commodity which is the same everywhere you get it. We are emotionally aligned with our team for a number of reasons.

I, and many of us here on the zone, follow the Cowboys because of what they represented in their past. At their best they are quintessentially American. For those of us from North Texas and the surrounding states, the Cowboys are also part of our culture.

My grandmother who lives in the tiny Oklahoma town where Troy Aikman was raised brought me to the Dallas Cowboys. It is quite simply a part of me. I cannot just up and leave and neither can most of us here. The Cowboys are family for many of us and preserve the memories of those long gone who also rode with the star. I’m sure many here have similar stories.

So no, we cannot just go find another team.

What they have become and how this organization is managed is nothing we can be proud to associate with. What it has come to represent in its modern form is disgusting. It is deeply painful to see the franchise we love and its storied history be cheapened and erased by decades of nothing short of a circus directed by a man who cares for nothing but himself.

Do you understand now?
Finding another team is fan-whoring yourself before the ink has dried on the divorce papers. I wouldn't want to emotionally and financially invest long term in another football team. If anything you become ambivalent or passive watching your Cowboys team when it becomes terminally dysfunctional due to crap ownership and executive management.

That is truly a great post and describes how many of us old time fans who have seen the best of cowboy football really feel.

We don't want to change teams we want the ability to hold Jerry accountable.

We want to in some way be able to affect the outcome of the season in a positive way.

We are tired of just seeing a single man cater to his ego and greed while ruining a sacred institution that we grew up with and meant so much to us.

I would recommend to any fan to find a college football team or maybe get into the NHL, MLB, NBA or another sport. Because Jethro ain’t going anywhere and he’s going out like Al Davis, with his red-headed stepchild Stephen taking over when he croaks, just like Mark Davis did for Al. Best bet is to hope Jerry does something stupid like Dan Snyder but doubtful, and even if he did, they would probably just give the team to Stephen. Sorry folks, but that’s the reality of your favorite franchise.

I think a lot of Cowboy fans don’t understand this. Since many are fans in other states they don’t see an issue with selecting a time from somewhere else. The Cowboys aren’t just an nfl team, they’re THE TEAM. Baseball and basketball are very minor sports in North Texas.

For me, it's a case of being passionate about this team and believing we can be better than we are. I think, if our FO could fix the glaring issues on this team, we could be a Super Bowl team. The fact we went 12-6 for 3 straight years without even making a conference championship is proof of this. The fact we could all see we couldn't stop the run and it was never fixed is proof. The fact we could all see the running game, and the lack of FA activity to put this team in a better position. The fact that, while most teams give their QB all the talent possible to win while Jerry hamstrings Dak at every turn. That's what makes me so angry. It's the lack of effort from the FO while the players and coaches have to give their all just to be relevant. I don't know another franchise that literally hinders their team as much as we do. The Cowboys could be so much more dangerous if the FO would work WITH Dak instead of against him.

And screw you and anybody else who doesn't like to have bad feedback and negative responses when we see something we don't like isn't that hypocritical to say we're not allowed to be upset when you're ragging on our own team in a way that that's all there is 24 hours a day seven days a week that's all we hear there is a group of people here that all they do is hate on our team as if they're eagles fans it's a lot of them sound like rival fans and in that case they're gonna get negative responses and we don't care how you like it that is why this is an open forum it's in public and everybody's opinions are heard as long as it's within the rules...
By your very words you should also allow dak critics their voice. They "see something they don't like" and deserve their voice on it every bit as much as you do.

The problem here is that criticizing dak is part of what this forum is all about. Insulting someone's opinion....isn't.

Exactly, if you hate everything about the team and are negative about everything. Why bother? Go find another team. I don't get the people complaining about some folks saying it in this instance.
:hammer: :hammer: :hammer:Bunch of people with ability to make Choices are whining....

This is some white collar entitlement stuff!

The Saints, Browns, Bengals, and Dolphins could use some fans.
I agree.

The trolls that want us to put up with Dak and will cheer blindly just to piss off real fans, would be great over on a saints forum or Browns
