141 tackles all in space...right. His responsibility isnt to rush the passer, how hard is that to understand?

it's not his responsibility because he CAN'T do it.... sure, the occasional stunt, his speed will get him through - otherwise, NOTHING GOING:D

So does any LBer in the league... Ray wasn't that great when he didn't have two great tackles in front of him.

116 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 4 passes defended, pro bowl birth. Hardly a down year.

not sayin' he's NOT a player.... just sayin' there's a significant amount of hype involved.... what's funny, this town (chicago) was quite ready to send him packin' just a short four seasons ago.... funny, lovie comes to town, realizes b.u.'s limitations and taa-daa, b.u. becomes the nfl's poster boy

Or it could be guys like Mark Anderson, Alex Brown and Adewayle Ogunleye get to the QB so guys like Urlacher dont have to and only has to do his job covering the deep zones. All three of those guys I mentioned were in the top 15 in sacks in the NFC.

dude!.... b.u. doesn't have rush responsibility BECAUSE HE CAN'T PRODUCE IN THAT ARENA OF THE GAME!!!!.... check out bear "d" stats the last 4/5 games of reg season AFTER tommie harris (HEART AND SOUL of the bear "D") went down - TERRIBLE.... funny, if b.u. was such the stud, that fall off NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED.... they never would have missed a beat.... but they did.... this town's biggest worry is the "d," NOT rex grossman

You talking about the 2002 season? 151 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 1 int, 4 passes defended, 2 fumbles forced, 2 recovered? Yea, they were sick of him in Chicago after THAT disgraceful season.

Read up on the tampa 2, his job is NOT to get after the passer, for the last time! Its not like he cant produce in it when he is forced to, 6 sacks last year ring a bell? Its so hard to discuss this matter with someone who has no idea what they are talking about. Learn how to punctuate while you are at it.

You said they were sick of him before Lovie came, that was the season before Lovie came, no one was sick of him then or ever.

Its funny you mention Lovie making Urlacher a good player, when in the seasons before Lovie came to Chicago, he had 21 sacks and 507 tackles in four years. Yea, he cant play near the LOS..:bang2:
