That was what RW did (Prime example was against the Colts).

Until something happened... like a shoulder injury or something (he started wearing that black brace).

Don't get me started on Roy, I just don't see anything in him that doesn't signify Sportsmanship Award. I'm talking about fire and nastiness.

If sacks this year overrate Merriman, interceptions this year overrate Roy. I remember a day whenever you saw Roy attempt a tackle, the guy was down. Now he seems to be going for the big hit instead of what he used to do. And his coverage?? Dear god.

Do you believe that playing Roy Williams in a Cover 2 scheme that puts him in deep coverage responsibilities almost every single play enables him to be as successful and the best player that he can be?
Do you believe that a scheme that ends up having Demarcus Ware in coverage more than rushing the passer enables him to be the best player that he can be?
I know I know (waving hand frantically)......the correct answer is......HELL NO.

I wanna see Parcells do the Lights Out dance.

You've got to be kidding...they'd have to get the Army Corps of Engineers to stop the fat from shaking for the next 6 months....not to mention the black eyes he'd have from the manboobs.

It's grasping at straws and makes us look bad.

Steroids or not - Merriman is better than Ware - more forceful, stronger and more passion , something BP has chided Ware over.

Ware is VERY good, getting better but he's not on Merriman's level - Merriman , Taylor, Freeney Strahan or your elite edge rushers - Ware's 10 1/2 sacks are nothing to rave about - sorry.

Whatever  Maybe you should post this on Chargers Site and have a Lights out Dance to go with it.

Merriman has a better front 7 and scheme than Ware....

The Chargers are a blitz happy unit.

Parcells doesn't blitz much.

Ware scored 2 TDs this year.....one fumble, one INT.....If I am not mistaken, that is 2 more than Merriman

Ware is asked to go into coverage quite often.

Comparing Ware and Merriman is like comparing Roy and Taylor...you can't.
Ware and Merriman have different responsibilities in their various schemes....just as Roy and Taylor do in their various schemes.

I am not saying Ware is better than Merriman or vice versa....

I will say that I am happy we have Ware. I like his humility and his work ethic.

Ware has proven he can get 3 sacks against garbage teams, just like Merriman. Does it really matter? Both players' respective teams are at home watching now.

:hammer:

I just hate the celebration he does on every freaking Sack. And I hate the fact that he predicted SB victory for Chargers this year. Maybe he ought have played instead of shooting his mouth or doing his dance.

classic Nantz quote today..."Matt Light owns Shawn Merriman"

could probably say the same thing about Luis Castilo eh? has he made a play yet?

Something else I want to know .. what exactly are these exotic blitzing schemes that San Diego supposedly uses that everyone keeps talking about? I've watched them upwards of 5-7 times this year, and they just use standand rushing packages. They just win their matchups. And Merriman sure does play coverage a lot for someone who "only rushes the passer". I question how many times people have actually objectively watched San Diego, or if they just regurgitate messageboard mantras.

We have watched different games then.

Today.. they just seemed to play very conservative.

Go check out the Charger's forum here and you can real all about the poor playcalling - both sides of the ball.
