Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Week after week this season we found ourselves in 3 and 1. Week after week we lined up in the "Jumbo" formation and handed it off to the left side. Time after time we failed to pick up the 1 yard needed. Common sense would tell you you need to come up with a different play for 3rd and 1. Yet today once again we go into the Jumbo formation only to get stuffed once again.

Is it Garrett being stubborn or just stupid?

Common sense should tell you that when your in the Jumbo formation that your lining up 11 defenders against 9 offenseive players. The QB and RB are not picking up blockers therefor putting your line at a severe disadvatage. The QB is turning around and handing the ball to the RB who is 5 yards deep. DUH!

We do not have a great line nor do we have a bowling ball running back. Granted the line could possibly win a 1 on 1 match up so why not spread the offense and then run either a QB sneak (a la Brady) or take your chances with your RB after you have removed the CB and safetys out of the stack.

Why on earth would you remove Dez to stand on the sideline and replace him with Lucky Whitehead who is expected to block? What ever happened to throwing it up to the back of the endzone pilon for Dez to go up and get? This was our bread and butter for years but now we put him and that threat on the sidelines?

Once again Garrett is outsmarting himself. We are the WORST at 3 and 1 and Garrett continues to run the same play. Mayny would call this Insanity, I chose to call it stupidity.

It's embarrassing. I was watching with a couple buddies who are Packers fans, and they thought I was brilliant because I called the plays that they would run in the first quarter drive that ended with the INT. But no, I was easily guessing what plays they were going to run (and fail at) since it's the same thing they've always done. I'm sure any competent defensive coordinator knew this also.

I happened to turn on the Sunday Nighter as the Pats were lining up for a 1st and goal at the 2. They had four receivers out wide, and then they ran it in, with two of the closer receivers going into the middle of the field to help block the safety's. Seeing that made me realize how far behind we are in the coaching and game planning department. Our own idiotic coaches can't even realize how awful we are on one (very important) down and distance and try to change things up

The Pats and every other team spread it out and run the ball. And when they don't you don't have to look any further then Green Bay today. They lined up in Jumbo and sent the tightends out and had a wide open touchdown. Yet Garrett insists on lining up in Jumbo and running left.

This really is the most stunning fact about our football team, and I agree the fault has to lie with the head coach and OC.

I think Garrett is a coach without guts. He is conservative, he just wants to toe the company line and not do anything too far right or left. He's such a freaking ****y. I hate that guy as a coach. I know this dude has to have the brains to understand that if you go empty set, there's no element of surprise. If you go jumbo, chances are you're going to run left. He's just dumb, I'm so over this idiot.

I've been bringing this up all along. WE are as predictable as the sun rising in the east, and the sun setting in the west.

There is no reason for us to keep running that same play over and over and expecting the same results.

It has stopped our drives and us settling for a punt or a field goal.

Someone needs to be help responsible for this. I'd like to say its Garrett's fault but people get mad at me for not towing the party line. So I'll have to find something else to blame.

We have the lowest conversion rate on 3rd and 1 in the entire NFL, even the freaking Browns are better than us.

Just embarrassing, especially when we basically have 4 first round picks on the offensive line.

It's not the OL. ITS THE PLAYCALLING. When you do the same thing over and over and over, the league is quick to learn. The play calling is beyond awful. I can't tell you how many times on third down yesterday we threw the ball less than what was needed. (3rd and 9.....throw the ball 6 yards). It's MADDENING.

The problem that I have with Garrett's approach is that it's predicated on having the best talent and that talent winning their matchup. He doesn't do anything schematically to put that talent at an advantage (like running out of a 4 wide set) on a 3rd and 1. Last year was successful because we were relatively injury free and even though the defense wasn't stellar the offense controlled the ball and the team, as a whole, played well. The problem with Garrett is if anything is out of whack, (injury to key players, a shutdown cb that doesn't need help to cover Dez) he has no plan B. It's time for him to go, matter of fact, hye never should have been hired in the first place.

I dot have any stas to back this up, but dez bryant must play less snaps than any other WR1 in football on a per game basis- guy is on the sideline for like 30 percent of our
Offensive plays.

And we always take out Dez and t Williams in some instances. If lucky and street are the only two out there we aren't throwing. It's amazing how stupid and predictable we are
