It's not the OL. ITS THE PLAYCALLING. When you do the same thing over and over and over, the league is quick to learn. The play calling is beyond awful. I can't tell you how many times on third down yesterday we threw the ball less than what was needed. (3rd and 9.....throw the ball 6 yards). It's MADDENING.
Not play calling. Play design and focus.
I cannot count the number of times I could take a good look a Beasley and how he behaved at the snap of the ball that there was no way the play was designed to go anywhere near him.
He would run a soft zig and the ball is released right away to the opposite side of the field.
I realize Garrett and Linehan are here to stay, but they better put their pointed heads together and reconsider what they think an efficient attacking offense looks like.
Arians and Turner run similar variants of the same system and they attack the field with matchups, bunch sets and zone busting concept routes, not option routes.
