Wow. You're in worse denial than the average Notre Dame fan.

Fact is they wanted him, they pursued him and they couldn't get him. He played Texas to squeeze a little more money out of Alabama.

You know I never thought he would be the choice. I always thought Texas would not go after him with what he wanted. What he wanted, from what I hear, is a life long percentage from the LHN and Texas was unwilling to do that. Had they agreed to that though, I think it would have been a done deal but it doesn't matter now.

It's not denial, it's just the rumors that I have heard on what the issues were.
