Of course T.O. is on the decline.

If you have watched T.O. this year you can see it.

His technique and route running was poor this year. He shys away from contact he goes down like a little girl to not get hit or he tries to make a lame attempt to dance around a guy when he is not agile at all. T.O. is scared to go over the middle. Why do you think he drops the ball when there is traffic around him? T.O. speed is overrated. He has good straight lined speed but a simple jam will negate this so called "speed". His technique is so poor its not even funny. That is why he could not beat jams. Yea he gets doubled but so does Andre Johnson, Steve Smith but they still are able to make the defense look silly.

Hell when Boldin was out with his injury and teams knew that they had to control Fitzgerald by doubling him and rolling coverages to his side he still torched those defenses. If T.O. is so "elite" like some claim how come he still isn't getting his?

At the same time its not all his fault why this offense tanked. Jason Garretts' play calling was horrible. Hell that's generous id say it was HORRENDOUS. I want to see slants and crosses. Not streaks by T.O. because he is not Steve Smith. T.O. is not a deep threat. Where is the balance? Where is the creativity? This offense was too predictable and Garrett wasn't patient with the run.

this is the correct answer. Of course TO is declining he is 34; however he is still one of the better WR in the league. DC's construct gameplans for him. He quits on routes just like a lot of recivers do if your paying attention when QB continues to make dumb throws and decisions. Its called frustration. Im not saying he's the best. But he is the best on this team. And when someone uses him properly he is at least top 5.

If you had to run 20+ yard routes every play while your QB was getting sacked repetitively, your frustration would be confused with poor attitude to.

It's the locker room stuff that bothers me. The blaming everyone else and convincing your teammates that you're right and others on the team, players and/or coaches, are wrong. It has nothing to do with faces he makes on the sideline.

I was pretty upset with the stunts the guy was pulling mid-season. But when I heard Romo get so frustrated and blame the system, I immediately realized TO wasn't alone and was just more vocal about it. You can blame him for speaking out where others won't, but I say, cure the problem, not the symptoms.

Owens still has skills. To put him near the top 5 now is to try to make the case that he is in a league with Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Steve Smith and Randy Moss, off the top of my head. That bus left town a long time ago.

You think the frustration of running to the moon and back doesn't carry into the locker room, the game film room, or the practice field? Try sprinting all day with full pads and then lose game after game because your OC is a mental midget with an Ivy league piece of papyrus. The man wants to win, he works harder than anybody on the team, and he's surrounded by, L_O_S_E_R_S. Yeah I said it. I'm sick of people blaming a guy who is TRYING TO WIN. If I was TO I'd throw Garrett under the Titanic:banghead:

As I said before, how many bodies get sacrificed in defense of Owens? Now he is surrounded by losers and is the hardest working guy on the team.

That might surprise Ware. Maybe Witten. It might stun Barber. It surely could give Ratliff pause.

Witten said he's the hardest working guy he's seen in his six year career.

I understand. And I sure he is a hard worker. But my point wasn't to nitpick the characterization. It was to suggest that a defense of Owens doesn't have to include a description of those around him as losers or an implication that others don't work hard.

If that is the case, you can't exclude Owens. He is part of the team.

He still is because of how teams game plan for this team. What DBs say about him. And how this offense reacts to when he is not on the field. Those WR you mention are good but they benifit from competent OC's. This past yr JG was anything but.

And I'm sick of people acting like Terrell Owens is the only WR in football who practices hard, who doesn't play with a Hall of Fame QB, and who doesn't get the ball every single time he gets a step on someone.

I don't care how hard a player runs in practice or how many curls and situps he does at night. It doesn't make it okay to go to the national media and blame "the system" or to say "I can't throw it and catch it, too".

Anyone who does the above is a L_O_S_E_R.

You and I are obviously seeing two very different games. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Were you pissed off at Romo when he blamed the system?

Pretty amazing! Especially I guess since Owens throws the passes to himself and he basically is 100% of the passing game. He is the Oline, he is the blitz pickup and he is the QB.

Absolutely. You don't do that to a coach. You just don't.

But what Romo said was still minor compared to sitting down with Deion and saying what I already mentioned.

And everyone should know that I'm no Garrett fan. He's terribly overrated and had an awful year. But no matter how bad he is, that doesn't make it okay to trash the guy like that.

Way to miss the point, nobody is excluding TO but many are putting it ALL on him.

Nobody is acting or even making that claim. Going to the media was not a good thing but that's on Jerry the GM and Wade the HC. If they don't control these guys when they get frustrated with incompetent coaching, you think the players will?
