He isnt at the top of my list, but I would be happy with the pick. I love the versatility he would bring being able to rush from a 3 point or standing. Gregory should be able to rush standing up, but Chaisson would be so much better.

Edge rusher right now is the only non QB position more expensive that WR right now.

Someone will...but looking at that top 15....who do you think that may be? Could also see a team maybe trade up to get him possibly like the Saints did that one year for the edge rusher they got....thought that as a stupid move in itself to trade so much for him.
Alot of people were hoping he took a HC job after 2008. I think it was the Rams job, but Im not sure. I know he had two interviews after 2007 and one after 2008

I just hated the way he was set up for the job and felt Wade was undercut. Wade is a really good dude.
My problem with Wade is that he wasn't a head coach. We were never winning a Super Bowl with him. IN hindsight, the same can be said for Garrett but at the time he was unknown and I preferred the unknown over the known in Wade. Loved Wade as a coach but he's not a head coach. He was such a typical Jerry hire. Jerry has a reputation of hiring guys who are considered "soft" and owner friendly. But there was no one more owner friendly than Wade. And with some of the divas he had on his team...he was due to fail.

Lol yeah he’s almost God status in this draft so I didn’t even think of him. He’s a better all around end too, Chaisson is a light pass rush specialist type
I do that alot too lol. Ill leave guys like that out of the rankings because you have no shot at them and forget about them

His most mocked team is the Falcons at 16, which is a perfect fit. The Jets and Brown need edge rush help if they don’t sign anyone, just don’t see them taking him at their respective slots.

To me it’s Atlanta or a surprise squad

I agree, but a backstabbing OC didn't help any.

I think he swayed people with how he finished 2010. There was hope that Garrett the HC would be more effective than Garrett the OC. His biggest problem early in his HC career was that he retained Garrett the OC
I mean it made sense. At the time Garrett looked like the next guy in line. He looked the part, had the success to back it up in Dallas....if I'm not mistaken the Ravens offered him a job right?

I truly believe the worse mistake Garrett made in his career was not taking another head coaching job. HIs career would've ended up far different no doubt. I feel that way about everyone Jerry has hired. Had they went elsewhere they would've had more success.

Yep. When he's gone earlier than us its been to the Falcons for the most part. But those same mocks have had us getting a solid player there too.

Yes, Ravens offered him a job after 2007 and Jones gave him a raise to keep him. He had another interview that year. Then another after 2008. One of them was the Rams. Not sure which year that was, or who the other team was that interviewed him. Jets maybe?

Yeah I’m pining for CJ honestly, but I’ll also take Fulton even though his stock has dipped from the beginning of the season till now (was a consensus top-15 pick before the season, now late 1st-early second).

If no CB or Ruggs III, I’d honestly trade back and get an extra 2nd or 3rd. To me DE isn’t as high as a priority as it is to some, but I wouldn’t hate the Chaisson pick.

If Randy is back in the fold, I like our D-line for the most part (I would take Zach Baun in round 2 in a heartbeat though). We are also in pretty good shape at starting S with HHCD and Woods. Only starters we need are a CB1 and Slot WR

Man how can you not love that response. I'm glad he knows being a Cowboy doesn't JUST have privileges, it has extreme disadvantages to those who can't handle the limelight. We've seen the star get the best of an endless amount of guys.

I'd love to get him if we stay put at 17. Him and Gregory rotating would be beautiful.
True...but...what about the lack of players at the DT positions? We still have Armstrong, Jackson and Jelks as backup DEs. What about them? Get rid of them? Wasted draft picks? How many times are we going to continue using costly picks at the DE positions while neglecting our DT positions?

Chiasson seems more like a luxury than an actual need.

I blame it on you, OmerV. I knew you should have posted something to stop the madness! :muttley:
This explains a lot. When Garrett was the OC I gave the team huge sums of money and told them to fire Garrett, but apparently they thought I said "hire" Garrett. I wondered why they made him the head coach back then.
