Cooper was let go because they were paying No. 1 receiver money to him and didn't feel he was worth that for various reasons. I agree that he wasn't. But he was worth the $5 million or so that they would have been paying him with a restructure.
You may not agree that it was because of the money, but that's what Jerry said. Everything else is just speculation.

105.3 The Fan, Jerry Jones talked about the trade and the reasoning behind it. He said that Cooper's contract was the main reason behind trading the talented wide receiver.
He went on to say that Cooper is a very good player and that what he does on the field isn't the reasoning behind trading him.
