We will have Zeke under contract for at least 4 more years. Too early to say how his body will handle those years/beatings he will undergo. He could be breaking down or could be healthy as can be and genetically solid for a football player.

That's very true.

I mean, Jalen Ramsey has already undergone two surgeries as a pro (knee, abdomen), as well as having a microfracture surgery on his knee while in college. You never know with these things.

Zeke rushed for 1631 yards and 15 TDs in 2016. Led the league, which tells you how great that is for a rookie.

Hard to believe if he duplicated that season for 10 more years straight, with at least 1631 yards per season and 15 TD's, a nearly impossible feat, he would still be short of Emmitt's career numbers for yards and TD's.

The greatness of Emmitt Smith.

Hey man. I make multi million dollar decisions everyday from my desk. It's a nice desk.

And yeah the team would look different if I was Garrett who if reports are to be believed was the deciding vote Ramsey vs Zeke. You see in our evaluation process we thought both elite talents.

I guess I'm weird for wanting the elite rarer and more expensive to acquire in free agency talent.

Sure you do, fella. Sure you do.

Wrong

Zeke played like the best RB in the league .... was rookie of the year and a starter on the pro bowl.

Jalen played good as a rookie ....... 2 int 55 tackles 14 passes defended

compared to our 6th round rookie CB who had 1 int and 40 tackles 8 passes defended.

Boom! Mic drop and all that!

I love now... The argument in using too many resources (and suboptimaly) on a running back is that 3 rounds later we found a qb. Nevermind when we took the rb we expected to have a very expensive qb playing.

The logical pretzel people build is truly astounding...

You're the only one in the entire Cowboys Universe that is STILL complaining about drafting Zeke.
Just you. I know you think very highly of yourself but the fact that you cannot recognize your
wrong is what's truly astounding.

Just used his year 1 cash to describe how big a disparity that exists. Even if you just use AAV.... That's 6x what Bell made per year and 10x what Ajayi did.

Doesn't seem very cost effective to me.

Zeke played like a top 10 player as did Ramsey at their respective positions. Now go look st top salaries for rbs and cbs. Who is an actual value?

Zeke played like the best at his position, Ramsey as a top 10 at his position is debatable...
If their careers ended today people would be talking in 10 years about what could have been with Zeke, no one but a couple of Fla St / Jacksonville fan boys would even remember Ramsey.
With Ramsey the cowboys don't reach 10 wins last year

You realize Dak was offensive rookie of the year right?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_Rookie_of_the_Year_Award
Zeke was voted by many organizations as rookie of the year ...... i dont see that safety on there anywhere.

You also realize you're embarrassing yourself comparing Jalen and Anthony based on counting stats right?

So stats only work when they are on your very biased opinions side?
Right?

Jalen played good for a Rookie ........ Zeke played like a veteran super star.

Understand it ......... live with it .......... you were and are wrong.

The NFL considers the AP award their official honor. Dak won.

And no I'm simply stating what is self evident... Comparing corners by counting statistics while not considering roles and responsibilities is disingenuous at best and completely clueless at worse.

Are you being disingenuous or are you completely clueless?

That sounds like you in anything that involves Zeke.

The fact that you are trying to say Zeke and Jaylon had similar rookie seasons is laughable at best.

Jaylon had a slightly better rookie season than Anthony Brown our 6th round rookie.

Fact.

Find a 2016 6th round rookie RB with close to the same stats as Zeke.

Zeke: Round 1; 4th overall; Among highest paid players at his position from day 1 (received $17MM cash year 1)
Dak 4th round. So what?
Bell: Round 2; 48th overall; This coming season he will for the first time be among the highest paid players at his position. (He will get 12MM this year...but has earned $4MM in 4 years prior).

Ajayi: Round 5; 149th overall; Made 600k last year.

You and Risen are of the same ilk. Individuals who have never under any circumstances admit they are wrong.

Far and beyond this debate, its not a good quality in a human being. Sure you can be that way, its your right. But whatever insecurities you are hiding under that facade of truth, it doesn't make your life a better one.

I've been wrong before. Preferring an elite dB on a cheap contract to an elite rb on an expensive contract is not one of those times.

LOL @ Ramsey being Elite

These corners are better than him considerably:

Harris Jr
Sherman
Peterson
Verett
Jenkins
Peters
Rhodes

Zeke is the best at his position already. Give it up, the shows over....

Every team in the league during every draft in history passed on players that would have been better than the player they drafted. You decide to focus on ONE particular set of two players, despite the fact that the player we drafted was a BEAST.

Its obvious that you have a stubborness and a need to be "right".

You could literally make this argument about every player on our team minus maybe Dak.

But you don't. Because its not about truth. Its about you wanting to be right.

Zeke had the most carries so he should have the most yards after contact.

A better stat would be average yards after contact PER CARRY.

No, a better state would be average yards per times contacted.

If a RB runs for a 80 yard TD untouched, that shouldn't work against him.

Looks like Zeke will be in the top ten of the NFL top 100 players this year which is voted by the PLAYERS. He will be the First rookie to crack the top ten since they started doing it... Even if they have not done it long.

Curious... Where did Jalen Ramsey rank in that top 100 list?

Oh... Did Ramsey make All Pro... Pretty sure Zeke did.
