according to those stats emmitt was a better rusher but reggie dominates total yards. I do wonder if reggie bush is the next great rb.

I like Bush but see him more as a utility player (Kick return, punt returns receiving and rushing) in my opinion he is not the same type of back as a Smith or in today’s NFL Tomlinson

I think Reggie is the next Marshall Faulk.

Nothing like Emmitt.

If Bush improves his lower body strength he could similar to Faulk.

interesting point but ive watched the saints a lot this year (region im in sucks) and if the guy got the rushing touches he would have broke 1000 on rushing alone this year easy. His YPC are bad but mostly from the beginning of the season. Running backs need rhythm, and carries over the course of the whole game. Reggie would sometimes go a whole half without a carry.
I think hes a future hall of famer and if deuce gets traded i think hell have a few years where he breaks 2k total yards.

Reggie is the next Reggie.

There is really not another player like him.

Hes not just a running back hes literally an X factor.

I see Busch as the new improved Brian Westbrook, just a whole lot faster and more explosive...

You may be right it is hard to gauge a rookie on what he will accomplish. Right now he racks up a lot of yards but it comes in the form of catching the ball and returning punts as well as at RB. I think NO wants to utilize Bush as much as they can and will continue to use him as they did this past season. I think Bush will have to add strength to be able to be a RB who can carry the load as guys like Smith did and like Tomlinson does.

Not really. There have been guys like Reggie Bush play in the NFL before. There was Joe Washington, James Brooks, Eric Metcalf and even Brian Westbrook. There are plenty more examples of players who have played in the NFL who could do the same kinds of things Bush is now doing IMO.

yea i guess i agree with you. Maybe he will fill in a bit this year..i did when i was his age. I wonder if theres anyway we could trade for deuce if reggie looks like an every down back in camp this year. Deuce would be a nice upgrade for us. I still think hes a 1600 yard guy.

I think Duce is a very good RB but I doubt NO is going to part with him anytime soon.

Hate to say it, but Westbrook is stronger, breaks more tackles and is almost as alusive as Bush. Westbrook is a underated player.

Maybe but Bush is going to blow all of those guys out of the water.

Towards the end of the season he was really picking it up running the ball.

He is going to be a spectacular player for years to come.

Hes not just 1 thing.... Hes like the ultimate mismatch.

That would be a huge mistake if they did, the guy has 2 or 3 good years in him..

I agree and think Westbrook is underrated. As for Bush I think Bush brings more speed to the table and elusiveness. I also feel if Bush can add some strength he very well could become a top back in this league. At USC he was never asked to get the tough yardage in large part because he is not a RB with a lot of power but a good off-season he may be able to change that.

I don't think there is any way to determine what he has left or how many more years he will be able to produce. In NO he is not being asked to carry the load and that should help prolong his career. I also do not think NO will part with him any time soon.

Time will tell. I am not as in love with Bush as everybody else is. He's a play maker but he's definatly not the scariest player I've ever seen with the ball.

Reggie is too hesitant as a RB, he's great in the slot and as that X-factor, but their is a reason no team since high school has made him a feature running back.

negative Yardage is hard to overcome.
