Don't care honestly. His supposed athleticism isn't matching on-field production so i do not care if he test as the fastest most athletic person ever to touch a field. Whatever the case is his production is way too low on the field where it actually matters. Maybe he's not smart enough to understand concepts, or he can't run routes, or he can't catch. Fact is carolina is giving up on him quick and decided they are better off with a 4th round pick than try to develop him any further and their receiving corps sucks.
Or......maybe his qb sucks

No One can be surprised that Jerry did this. If the kid works out, Jerry looks good, if he doesn't, Jerry says it was only a fourth round pick. As for "maybe his qb sucks" welllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Look at the trash team he was on. Maybe if he had good surrounding players and a real QB. He would have better numbers.
Not that he is better off here From the way it is going this season.

It really is this bad, isn't it? I mean, I know we all argue and joke and stuff but damn, it really is THIS BAD. I need to start talking to my therapist about how to actually mentally and emotionally divorce myself from this team and become a Texans fan or something.

Among 72 WRs with at least 50 receptions since the start of last season, Jonathan Mingo ranks:

- 72nd in receiving yards (539)
- 71st in yards per route run (0.75)
- 72nd in catch rate (49.5%)

So, that's worth a 4th round pick, huh?

Well look what the Cowboys did with the Jalens , Turpin, and Cook. . Dak made Cooper and CeeDee All-Pros.

I can see it now. Jerry calls up the Panthers GM while swirling around some Johnny Walker Black with 3 Ice Cubes and proposes a trade for someone who is riding the pine in NC. Their GM says we gotta have a 5th rounder to make it happen. Jerry says ok, but I really need a 7th rounder back to make it happen. Their GM says well we have to have compensation for the 7th and Jerry says well, we will make it a 4th rounder on our end. Their GM says "Jerry you drive a hard bargain, but I guess we can do that". Jerry says yep I put one over on that young GM and pours himself a second glass. .

It's because they looked at his draft position and evaluation, not what he did with the Panthers.

The way the FO analyzed this was essentially "Hey, we wanted this guy in the 2nd just a year ago and when he got taken before us we settled with Schoonmaker. This way we basically get a 2nd round pick for a 4th and keep the guy we actually drafted! What a deal!"

That, of course, isn't how any of this really works but I can't imagine any other way they assigned that value to him.
Well if we had a 2nd round grade on the guy, that answers that. This waste of a pcik falls in line with every other 2nd rounder we have made lately

Why are there so many threads about this guy? How pathetic we have become. An absolutely insignificant trade and we're all over it like the Cowboys had acquired Mahomes for a 3rd rd pick.

Weird times.

Sad part is that he was probably getting released in the offseason.
That’s every trade though. Teams are trading guys they don’t want anymore. Now I don’t trade a 4th for that but all of these guys being traded were going to get released if not traded for.

Dak, when he returns, makes this player better
/s

Like Romo did for Laurant Robinson
He got that really good contract and then the concussions ended his career. That half a season with romo made him financially secure for life. He had some real bad times for a while; had to stay in dim rooms or he would get terrible headaches. But I understand he is pretty much OK now
