Interesting...Seems Big Bill got a Raise?

Oh okay, so it was because of his GM skills right....

Im on the guys bandwagon, but if we dont get into the Playoffs next year, I think the stuff could hit the fan.

But im sure next year if we dont make it, it will be all about...next year...1 year away...Big Bill is on the right track....we sucked before he got here...woooe is me....

Book it!!!

Poor Jerry. 3 years ago, "Jerry can't co-exist with a true coach", they screamed. No Jerry does everything possible to keep a real football guy around and now this..........

Sucks to be Jerry. Well maybe not, to answer your question, whats a million to a multi Billionaire.... Not much my friend.

Jerry did it because he can. Its his team.

It's not a question of whether Jerry can afford it or if it's his team!

The question is Does Parcells deserve a 1 million dollar raise for what he has done in Dallas?

Any reasonable person who has worked for a living and had to produce will say NO!

Engel and Dennis joined the discussion and Engel said it probably was increased for "future performance".

Dennis and Randy said they didnt agree with an increase but if it was for future performance and if Jerry put a stipulation in the contract that he had to come back in 2007 they would agree.

0% Winning Percentage in the Playoffs in 3 Seasons
2 Straight Seasons withoug a Playoff Berth

I wanted ya back Big Bill...but ya didnt deserve a raise....

Did you hear Dennis' comment on all this, too? "Anyone who doesn't realize now that Parcells was the one who floated the retirement rumor to his buddy Mort in order to drive his price up is just naive."

And Dennis has always been a Parcells fan.

This organization, scouting, drafting, roster talent level and young nucleus of talent is upgraded. Parcells has earned every $ and needs to fix Oline and we borderline best in NFC.

yeah
Mort is going to put his reputation and his credability on the line to help Parcells spread a rumor

Not by record we aren't. 10-6 > 9-7

How's the saying go... "You are what you are"

5-11, 5-11, 5-11

THATS WHAT WE WERE WHEN BILL ARIVED - And he coached up his first team big.

As an organization - we are light years forward.

Yeah, I heard that too.

Interesting but I dont know. I know Engel said, I hope Mortensen gets his 3% Cut.

I dont know about all that, I just dont think the man deserved a raise....

Just sucks to see Coughlin and Gibbs doing their thing and were stuck at home again...talking about next..year.. :)

Very frustrating

Please, Jerry Jones is doing a great job since he has learned his lesson but it is common knowledge he was the one calling all the shots.

I dont care what anybody says, and I know it isnt popular but you give

Campo and Gailey as much power as Bill Parcells and ease their Salary Cap woes...and this team would have been much improved too.

Overall, by all means Parcells is a much better coach than those two I just mentioned, I am just saying I think you have a narrow view of things when you overlook what the former coaches had to deal with.

Jerry backed off because Big Bill..is Big Bill...a dog with alot of bark and alot to show for it.

You give some of those other guys full control, actually have some 1st round draft choices and not all the Salary Cap woes...I really think you see them in a different light

That is just me though..im in the minority...

Spin it anyway you like, we're an organization sitting on our laurels watching the playoffs from home. 5-11, 9-7, same result.

I agree that Jerrys meddling would hurt any coach but to say Campo could do any thing as a head coach to me is unrealistic. His idea was to put a time clock in the locker room. :D Gaily could have had a shot but Aikman hated the guy.

Look at our 53 man roster, scouting department, youth nucleus.

3 years ago we sucked and had no chance to make noise in NFC East. Today we played the best in Division square up and a year away from major noise.

And yes, its all because Parcells put JJ in his place. Other than Jimmy Jonson who is not walking through that door, Who are better coaches for us in 2006?

Please

It's obvious that what we think doesn't matter, but to answer the question........No, he didn't deserve a pay raise. Coaches in the NFL very rarely get a increase in pay after missing the playoffs two years in a row. That's not to say that he hasn't done a decent job, but his record is what it is over three years here (25-23).

Like it or not......some of us are having a hard time accepting mediocrity.

While taking the afternoon stroll home, the big debate on Randy Galloway and Company was the reports from Chris Mortensen that Big Bill's salary increased to $5 Million in 2006 and I believe to around $6 Million in 2007.

So in affect, Galloway and Company were debating whether or not Mr. Parcells deserved a $1 Million raise.

Whatdaya think?
Mortenson also said it was 60-40 Bill was retiring also.

Parcells is here and the 4-3ite majority lament, cajole and whimper.

Just compare our team to a year. Big upgrade in roster. Improved win total from 6 to 9. No need to spin anything.

you know we have all this cap room, so who cares a couple millions to keep a coach who has us at least no repeating 5-11 seasons over and over again, whether he has filled his bill as the coach, it doesnt matter a couple mill for a guy who has brought us back to playoff contention is worth it.

Bingo - 3 years ago we had no chance in NFC. This year we played with and beat some of the best. No more Eagles that stomp us all day every day.

We are a team on the rise.
