This video shows the different cool stuff you can do with high voltage. What sucks about it is he uses a computer generated voice.

Anyhow, at the end. It's not clear what is happening. He is using the electrical plasma as a speaker. The sound you hear (music) is being made by the plasma. That's what a ionophone is.
