Reporter: Is Tony ready for the biggest game of the year this Sunday in Green Bay?

Grandpa: I'm very sure he has been for years. In the first place, the good thing is that when he was growing up, they were his idols. And he dreamed of playing with them. But now, realize, everyone, that we dream of beating them. And we're ready, because we've been waiting for 4 or 5 years, right? But, we're going to do it. Tony is going to win this coming Sunday.

Reporter: Ma'am, is the game special because Tony is from Wisconsin?

Grandma: It's very important for Antonio Ramiro Romo Jr., and he's going to win, because I cooked "power chorizo" and eggs for him. Go! Go! Win this big game!

I lived in Mexico for 12 years. Once during my first year, I was sent to the corner store for a half-kilo of chorizo. I said "medio kilo de chorillo, por favor."

The storekeeper went into hysterics, because I'd just asked for a pound of diarrhea.
:lmao2:

At least you only ordered a half kilo!

Chorizo and papas is the only thing that tops those two things! Makes me miss momma's cooking down south!

I barely eat any meat besides chicken but done properly - especially in certain areas of Austin - chorizo is amazing... to each their own, I guess... it's going to be on my menu Sunday morn! lol!!

I just saw turkey chorizo in the supermarket last week, It might be good and I guess it's an alternative, but that's a line that I'm personally not willing to cross A little part of me died when I saw that, turkey burgers, turkey bacon and now turkey chorizo, is nothing sacred any more.

Chorizo de San Manuel con huevo has been my favorite breakfast since I was a little kid. This is a good omen...

Grandpa basically said as a child Tony loved the Packers and now he is playing against them

Said all the family waited 5 years for playoffs again. Tony's dream to be champion.

Said praying for him and the team.

Grandma is making chorizo con huevos (sausage/eggs) for power and good luck!

They are very proud and excited
Ditto Grandpa

Chorizo is disgusting. Even saying the word sounds ugly.

cmon.
I think you are getting the poor quality ones which are not good.I also also love the spanish cured Chorizo(mexican chorizo is uncured),its great in pastas.

You gotta love chorizo. Just stay away from the nasty stuff they have at Walmart. My favorite chorizo is Peyton's, believe it is out of El Paso.

And your commode

I like to think of it as being turbo-charged! :D

You gotta stay away from the cheap brands. My favorite is the Kiolbassa brand chorizo from San Antonio. It's not greasy, nice and meaty and great flavor.

I saw it at the local HEB grocery store here in San Antonio, but don't remember the brand. The only reason I remember was because it was the first turkey chorizo I had seen, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
