if vick was involved he should be suspended. but i would like to see the prosecutor shut her mouth and make her case.she should have learned from the duke case to just shut up and make your case. untill you have the evidense there is nothing to talk about

Nothing will happen to Vick unless he is found guilty of something in a court of law.

of course nothing will happen...Vick and Blank will buy their way out of it again...the guy just walks between the rain drops

I've said it since day one...he's a huge loser..I'm just glad that sorry organization is tagged with him forever

Goddell is an idiot, Pacman Jones shouldn't have received a year suspension when he's never been convicted.... Chris Henry was the one brandishing a firearm in public and was convicted yet only gets 8 games..

uh, ok

He should be conducting cockfights, like any other self-respecting American.

Yeah, but his rooster has warts.

Mike Vick won't be charged with anything, unless they have physical evidence of him being there on tape or photos then it's all speculation. I mean the guy wants to bread dogs, so what. He can't control what his boneheaded cousin was doing. He admitted to buying the house and letting him live there...

this is from the "believe me or don't believe me" category - but a good friend of mine does a LOT of PR for several sports stars. 2 years ago he was working vick and his "possee". they talked about the house in virginia and how vick spent almost his entire off season there playing video games and staying out of trouble. they bragged heavily about it and vick is a type of recluse would didn't want to be around people, activity and so forth. from what i understand - at least at the time - cell phones didn't even work much out that way.

during the course of conversation, it was also told to my friend that vick had 50 dogs, mostly pitt bulls, if not all. at the time my friend didn't think much of it other than that's a lot of dogs. he himself got an american mastiff (HUGE dog) and later vick wanted one so he checked into it. the place where he got his said HELL NO due to the # of dogs vick already had, saying rich or not he can't care for them properly.

now about a year after all that *this* comes up. suddenly he NEVER spends time out there when a year ago it was THE ONLY PLACE he spent his off-season. it's this person, it's that -but not him.

then former team mates validate it and we worry more about the former teammate "ratting out" rather than if it's true.

last week i got a call from this same friend and guess who's back needing some positive PR?

mr vick himself, in a much more humble tone than a few years ago.

if you wanna buy his lies, up to you. i just know better. if you don't want to believe me, that's your choice also as i usually look with an open eye also when someone says "i know someone who knows".

we'll see where it goes but if you really feel that vick is "innocent" look again.

death to all snitches!
It's wrong for a snitch to hurt someone's reputation or good fortune strictly out of malice. It's another thing entirely for a snitch to expose someone's activities which physically or mentally harms people or animals for sport or personal gain.

I agree with this.

Right now there's a lot of speculation as to his level of knowledge and awareness of what was going on. I don't know how much he know. Alot of smoke out there, but until something is produced which shows him somehow actively involved or aware, it's kinda hard to subject him to any discipline.

And if people can't see the difference between this situation and Pacman, then I don't know what to tell you.

i agree he should get "due process" just like the rest of us. but it's falling apart around him and his lies are going to be self-inflicted wounds as others come out and refute them with facts.

a couple of years ago my friend told me vick stayed there in the off-season and played his video games to avoid being around people. he knew this cause he does PR for vick and many other pro athletes.

now he's never there? yet people in the area say he's there all the time?

like i said, his lies will catch up to him and cost him even more in the end.

i just hope the a-holes of the world can keep it sane this time around. it seems all vick/dog threads wind up getting deleted in a day or so.

You take a very sarcastic tone when stating sentences such as if you wanna buy his lies, up to you, but at the beginning of your post you say this is from the "believe me or don't believe me" category.

Reversing that logic and playing Devil's Advocate, if ThreeSportStar80 wants to believe your lies, it is up to him?

Where there is smoke there is fire, Vick probably is guilty, if not for being directly involved, he probably knew about it, but a man is innocent until proven guilty.

What a sad story Vick has become.

On the field: All that athletic talent and potential, squandered when Falcons management made the decison to fire a creative offensive mind who could have made things work: Dan Reeves.

Off the field: The Ron Mexico chapter, the case of the dubious water bottle, and now allegations of dog-fighting.

It is just ashame. He could have been a truly special player - instead of an odd footnote.

Now he entertains as a train wreck.

He should have been so much more.

oh hell dude - keep up. i take a sarcastic tone in just about everything i do from talking to flatulance and some would say there isn't much of a difference anyway.

i don't really care who believes what - this is what i know and if you think i'm a trolling liar great - move along and don't believe me.

you'll see a few posts later when i agree with WG that he should get his day in court, but from what i know i see a huge liar. can that change when more facts come out? sure they can. but so far the facts to come out say he DOES stay at that house, owned 50 dogs years ago, and lobbied teammates to get involved in dog fighting with him.

like i said - believe me if you want to but keep the sermon, i got no use for it.

Hopefully the eye witnesses don't change their story all of the sudden. See Ray Lewis.

Thanks for reminding us that a man is innocent until proven guilty. That will slow down all the calls for throwing him in prison without a trial.

We know Vick is innocent until proven guilty. We also know that this is a message board, not a court of law. I expect he was all but in charge of the whole sordid mess.
