Go with a flip phone, avoid all the hassles. Lol
I give you an actual picture of Ranching and his mobile phone.

Algore is on Apple's board of directors so that's another deal breaker for me when it comes to Apple products.
So keep that in mind before buying an Apple product.
No gps to track you. Best part.Ha, old man you. Verizon still has a few they're selling. Seen them on their website.
I still have one of those somewhere. LolI give you an actual picture of Ranching and his mobile phone.
How much more work would be getting done with Al Gore's invention. That's the guy who invented the internet, right?
Funny. I have had iPhones for about a decade (and iPads for a shorter time) but I do not like any other Apple products. My wife has both two Apple desktop computers over the past three years. I've never touched either one lol.iPhone for me. I like all apple products.
But to each their own!
IPhone because it is more user friendly for me, I can be technologicaly challenged at times
Same. I'm on my 4th iPhone and I stick with them simply because I understand them, and the thousands of dollars I have invested in iTunes. I use my phone for calls, texting my wife & son, music, local radar, and the Cowboys Zone only so I don't see much need for more.
I use Samsung phones, but I don't hate iPhones. If I switched, to iPhone, I'm sure I would be fine. It's like Canon and Nikon DSLRs. I could do good photography with either one.
I tried to clear the cache for a few apps on my wife's Iphone the other day. Couldn't figure it out. Turns out the process is you must install and reinstall the app. Ludicrous. I can do it in two clicks on my Android.
I do Canon, but not Nikon because Nikon (I used to have a Nikon Coolpix 5000 when they first came out) no longer allows anyone except authorized repair shops to buy their aftermarket parts. i.e., if you want to get your Nikon camera fixed, you MUST pay Nikon and whatever price they decide to charge to fix it.
What's everybody's preference? My iPhone 6s went for a swim with me this weekend. So, I went down and checked out some phones. I've enjoyed my iPhone but I must say, the Samsung Galaxy S8 was impressive. Beautiful resolution and the camera took excellent pictures. I'm starting to think about getting it. It just sucks that all my cords everywhere (work, home) are all iPhone lightning cables. lol
I've just had 4 iPhones now and the iOS they run on, while solid, have pretty much been all the same. It wouldn't really feel like getting a "new" phone if I grabbed an iPhone 7.
Just looking for opinions! Thanks!
I steer people away from Samsung Android phones. While some of their customization are cool, most are bug riddled and trash. Not to mention they are non-standard which means when you switch phones. You're likely to lose it disrupting your expected experience.
Pure vanilla Android is the way to go and the best place to get that is straight from Google.
I prefer the iPhone because I'm in the "ecosystem" but some people prefer Samsung phones.
It's really just personal preference. There's less of a chance for malware on iPhone because of the tightly controlled App Store, but just don't be an idiot on Samsung and download shady stuff - it's not that hard.
