thats a harsh assumption. Not realistic.
It’s not an assumption, if someone is in the public eye doing TV work and is accused of misconduct with a female it’s going to make news. I’m talking about someone who’s high profile for a major Network. It usually results in them being suspended and possibly fired. Heath Evans, Marshall Faulk, and Ike Taylor were accused of sexually harassing a female employee at NFL network a few years ago and were fired. They all categorically denied it.
I haven’t seen any of them doing TV work since.

Irvin's story is, it was a 45 second interaction in a hotel lobby

/shrug who knows.
The video, can tell us how long that interaction was. The problem is he admitted he was drinking, and 45 seconds is enough to say something stupid…

I hope it’s not true because Irvin has presented himself as a changed man.

Yes…that would be something that can get you canned. But wouldn’t there need to be audio proof?
They haven't canned him at this time, just took him off the coverage for the rest of the week and sent him home. I would think this is standard procedure while they let the dust settle.

You can bet there's at least one lawyer behind the NFLN protecting their interest. Whether there is anything here or not, they're in cya mode.

That was my question to the poster who called her a gold digger.
Given the circumstances, hotel lobby for 45 seconds, it’s a very shady accusation at best. What would be her motivation for lying? Or maybe she’s just a Karen and he said something she didn’t like. Who knows? Lol!

Let me guess, you're an Irvin fan? He has history but your benefit of the doubt goes to him.
Let me guess, you believe guilty until proven innocent? Which is exactly what has been wrong with this current state in this world. You are part of the problem. Irvin is being punished for something that you have no idea what happened. So you automatically assume that he did something wrong and automatically assume

yes but I highly doubt that is breaking any laws. Maybe he said something nasty..but still...he has every right to have his free speech same as u and me, even if he acts dumb. That shouldn't mean he loses his gig. If thats all he did. Having bad thoughts last I checked ,isnt a crime yet.

Umm, the threshold for appropriate behavior is not legality.

And stop with the "free speech" nonsense. Employers hold employees accountable for what they say in the grown up world

on air talent are due the same rights as we are. I don't wish anyone losing their livelihood so easily from a he said she said with 0 proof of wrongdoing. Just here say. Its flimsy. You are wrong here.

I can say a lot of something stupid's in 45 seconds. Hell, y'all have proof right here in these forums and that's taking time to type it.

Irvin is being held to a ridiculous standard and with 0 facts. He said she said. This is flimsy.

Can't remember where I heard it, but Mike reportedly walked around nude in the locker room telling others to take in his glory because they'll never be him. Dude's very proud of himself, IYKWIM.

I actually had a neighbor in an apartment complex who liked to brag about the same... problem. He ended up getting arrested because he showed his problem to a lady who lived there. Some guys just think that's all the game you need.

Yeah none of this applies to this situation. Let's look up your past and judge you now off of that.

I am assuming nothing except his story and defense, I drank too much and don't even remember meeting her is shaky.

This isn't law, guilt or innocence don't apply.

Neither of us knows what happened but you seem really sure he did nothing wrong. Which of us is jumping to conclusions?

It could. He's still loud and obnoxious. Not saying he whipped it out but could've insinuated something. Whatever he said it was enough for her to complain. Just throwing out possibilities.

Guilty until proven innocent huh. You do you.
No one's convicting him of a crime. Your employer can send you home if they believe your conduct was objectionable.

They'll do their own investigation and determine his long term future with the company. For now, he's become a distraction so he's not working the event.

This isn't complicated. It happens in the business world every day. It's just news because of his celebrity status.
