Hardy has never been in trouble, gets accused by a gold digger, has all charges dropped and is now a pariah.

Yet Big Ben gets accused of rape twice, Mike Vick kills dogs for sport and dozens other actual wife beaters are still in the league.

I would sign him to a 30m guaranteed contract tomorrow and not look back.
the hypocrisy is so apparent. The BS about Hardy having to apologize when he has been cleared of legal charges is total complete crap. the Rapist was also cleared-where was the demand for an apology?

If Hardy carries this through mid season, I would start firing up the contract machine. I agree with those of you that say not immediately. We all know the Playmaker can be extreme in his expressions. This is no different.

It's a gamble. If he has a monster season and doesn't sign whatever offer Dallas gives him, he'll go to the highest bidder. Theres a no franchise tag clause on him remember?

after this season if he plays well he will have several teams wanting to sign him wonder how bradshaw and the rest of them will react because I can tell you if he has lots of sackes he will have lots of teams bidding for his services

Allocating that amount of cap to a pass rusher of Hardy's caliber is actually a sound investment, even though it will be a hefty contract.

You solidify the most significant factor towards passing differential, in the pass rush, with two other young pass rushers still on rookie contracts. We would be the envy of the league with those guys at DE for the foreseeable future.

It also gives you a lot of leeway in the draft. You can truly go BPA without the need to reach for a pass rush, the way you're meant to draft.

No matter what you think of Hardy's past indiscretions, you have to admit that his comments about Brady's wife and sister were stupid. Even if he is innocent (which a judge ruled he was not) then you have to believe that after making jokes about 9/11 and coming off a suspension for domestic violence, he would be careful about answering questions. He was coached by the organization's PR team (like all players) and still, he came out with stupid on his first opportunity he got with the media.

So either he is insane or he is stupid. I don't know which, but I wouldn't sign him to a long term contract until he proves to me that he can stop being stupid. If you think this has been bad thus far, just wait until we're paying him $14-19 million a year and he has all the job security in the world. There's no stopping stupid or insane with that kind of money. This is not a case of signing some player for a cap friendly deal, guys. Hardy is going to be expensive. He's going to be making JJ Watt money or more if has a good year. Do you want to risk that kind of money on stupid or would you rather develop through the draft?

Right & we want to secure that talent before the flood gates open.

You can never have enough pass rushers. Resign Hardy. Draft a good DT (Nose Tackle) and a good Free Safety and Dallas will have a top three defense.

After seeing him in action last week I think he's going to quickly become one of my favorite players. I would LOVE to lock him up for years to come.

It also wouldn't hurt to have Gregory and Lawrence learn from one of the best.

you do not let an elite pass rusher in the prime of his career get away. You just DON'T.

there would need to be massive protection in contract because you just know the league is itching to boot this guy.

Easy decision. Sign him ASAP. What he does is nearly as difficult to find as a franchise QB.

Hardy loves Dallas and the Cowboys are going to love what he does on the field. He's just entering his prime.

He will be a Cowboy until he retires.

I couldn't care less if my players say dumb or non-PC things. It is what they do on the field.

Our owner is an idiot and says and does stupid things with women all the time and I'm supposed to care he called Brady's wife hot, a woman that gets naked for a living.

30m guaranteed would go along way in winning his trust.

He has never been in trouble before these bogus charges.

He is no more a risk than Tony Romo or Tyron Smith or Sean Lee.

This would be a major win for the team. Period. His ability to lift those around him was evident out there against the Pats. Unfortunately they can't play offense too.

Oh no, he called a football player's wife who models lingerie as a living, attractive. Brady was more likely to give him a fist bump than feign outrage like the media did.

There's nothing he said that was inappropriate and anyone who thinks so is either incredibly sheltered or takes BSPN as gospel.
