I wonder if we won't see it on any usual NFL-oriented networks due to the fact that what is revealed may just put them in a bad light. In other words, if clearly innocent, NFL Network and ESPN failed to back their employee, and acted prematurely and fumbled the decision to keep Irvin off the air based on bad info.
It’s tough to say without seeing the employees complaint.

With Irvin’s history that might be enough to boot him off the network . Remember in the NFL a guilty verdict isn’t necessary to take action or suspend .

My hunch is Irvin is done with both networks. Maybe Jethro will hire him for Cowboys Silver Star Network.

ESPN and NFLN both will boot someone if they think it will look good as PR. No other reason necessary

Yes, the typical, "I don't have time ..." response when asked to produce proof of an accusation. I almost wrote that into my last post because I knew it was coming. Thanks for confirming.
Oh. So you have never said "Well the NFL didnt have all of the facts, once they did they upped the suspension" Regarding Brown and Rice?

Interesting.

I am not going back in time years to prove that I am right.

You fully supported the Zeke suspension and went on to try and discredit anyone who said it was unfair considering the Rice and Brown debacles. This was also when people were suggesting a bias towards Cowboys players and suspensions.
Same with another poster in the other thread. He went hard at Zeke. He was guilty with out evidence per this poster. He’s been loud in the big thread about Irv, guilty bc of past allegations totally dismissing any evidence to support Irvs innocent. I keep reading peoples replies to to this other poster and I’m thinking to myself this poster is not going to change his opinion on Irv or Zeke.

Like I said, the only types that have issues with a critical look at the evidence are those that don't like that it was Irvin's side of the story being looked at. Because it's only been his side out there. So that's the reason for any trigger response. Not my concern.
Quit gaslighting.

You have no idea what motivates another's thoughts.

This is pure defensive posturing using a conjured up strawman. Arguably the weakest type of strawman, in my opinion.
Lol. You stated an opinion in response to my own opinion and I repeated the opinion again but now it's morphed into a defensive strawman. It's. The. Same. Opinion. Bottle your first sentence though the next time a bad call is the result of an obviously biased ref.

Has the “media” even weighed in with an opinion on this?

Seems the reporting on this has been quite fair.
yeah right. The man was ruined by the very networks u think are fair. If they were being fair they would have waited instead of acting hasty. The picture they painted of him is he is guilty thus why they treated him badly instantly. The media is trash.

Unfortunately breaking news is worth a lot of clicks(revenue) even if they don’t have all the facts. When’s it’s all money driven you’ll never get all the facts upfront. When they issue their correction it will be days later buried in another section.

Nope. "I" didn't have all the facts that were even out there and didn't parse through them all so I couldn't form an opinion on what I didn't know. So you gonna show me the posts I've made or trust your shaky memory? This is the part where you tell me "I know what I remember," right?

the man is trying 2 clear his name and get the true facts out there. He has little choice. Marriot hasnt been cooperating with the judge in a speedy fashion.
I think it's just a little silly ...... Everyone Including us fans, knows that Mike is an emotional playboy.

This is minor compared to stabbing his teammates with scissors or getting busted with drugs and hookers.

Just win in court and go find another job who wants him.

yeah thats fair. I agree. But all things being equal, if he wins this and he will, don't u think he is owed a public apology from the networks and Marriot? To restore his name and standing? At very least I think he deserves that much. Not 2 mention lost wages(damages). Someone needs 2 pay him for his legal fees.

Its funny. You are trying to clear your name but wont afford Irvin the same.

Interesting. And I have a photographic memory. I dont need to "trust" it.

I could even tell you the thread it was in. It was regarding the NFL letting Mara do whatever he wants. Regarding the 2 game suspension John Brown received after 27 charges for domestic assault. Your argument was that "the nfl didnt have all of the facts/or the giants didnt" even though. Here is the kicker (pun intended) The NYPD had all of this on record.

What should the NFLN have done, ignore it and allow a circus distraction while all 32 owners of their network are in for the biggest week of the season?

You are not looking at this from their viewpoint.

It is unlikely we will ever know all of the facts or what transpired between the network and Irvin from Monday morning until Wednesday morning but I have noticed his attorney has not blamed the network for anything.

I am done with both networks myself. They can stick it. I haven't watched either network in years.
