What should the NFLN have done, ignore it and allow a circus distraction while all 32 owners of their network are in for the biggest week of the season?

You are not looking at this from their viewpoint.

It is unlikely we will ever know all of the facts or what transpired between the network and Irvin from Monday morning until Wednesday morning but I have noticed his attorney has not blamed the network for anything.
waited. that is what they should have done. WAITED. They acted hasty and will have to pay up.

They will pay nothing because they are not being sued.

There is no way the NFLN could have put him on the air once this was made public, no network would put any host on the air under these circumstances with what he had already said on the call into 105.3.

is due process still a thing in the legal system/USA? Thats what we all are promised as a United States citizen, no matter what anyone thinks. Thats the letter of the law. No matter what bias either way we feel about 88...he is due that. That is why the networks did him wrong. They didnt wait for due process and the facts to be vetted. They acted irrationally and by doing s degraded him. Not even a police report was filed..think about that. A man was ruined .

Its funny. You are trying to clear your name but wont afford Irvin the same.

Interesting. And I have a photographic memory. I dont need to "trust" it.
Lol. There's nothing to clear. You made an unfounded accusation and won't do the work of providing the proof when asked. So when you're ready, call a press conference.

And tell me how I'm "not affording" Irvin from clearing his name? If he's innocent of anything it'll clear itself and he can take any legal route he needs to be made whole as he should. Again, it's you reactive people who object to any evidence not being signed off on 100% in Irvin's favor that make you assume folks are automatically "against" him. Same as commenting that a rule was followed when the Cowboys get called for something. In those cases, you people can't handle the truth, even with black and white rules and video. Here, y'all can't handle speculation that doesn't mirror your hoped-for result then project bias to cover your own bias. You think I don't know how this goes considering the regular season? Lol.

I saw the time as 10:30am.

1. If they have something (meaning exonerating audio of some type), they'll present it.

2. If they don't have something, they'll present that he didn't assault her, maybe show video to that effect, have the witnesses there who already stated this, and frame it as him being railroaded when he didn't even touch her which will be enough for most public outcry (again, this is a PR rehab suit). However, this case is about what was allegedly said as Mike himself stated on that radio interview which is what supposedly set things in motion at the hotel. But they'd be hoping no one would remember that amidst the emotion.
so if they show video that shows him a good 3ft away from her, both have nothing but smiles appearing to have jovial conversation, have 2 witnesses that say nothing happened.... and yet you will still say... it was all garbage and a propaganda attempt by his lawyers to clean up his image ......... I mean cmon, it was Irvin, he obviously was near that woman and as a result he OBVIOUSLY said something inappropriate.....smh

Agreed....and he's not understanding that today is not the late 90s...have to be extra careful
I know, I mean he should make sure he only talks to fans out in the open, where witnesses are right there and cameras are recording..... somewhere like a hotellobby or bar.

Funny how defensive you are getting. And you were called out by another poster for wanting to see Irvin burn.

You arent being objective. You are against ALL things cowboys. Even bad calls by officials. Personally. I think you work for the NFL and have an account here to gauge public perception.

If it comes out in favor of Irvin he could have a case against any employer that terminated him over it, depending on state of employment and such will determine how good or bad his case would be.

Not likely since NFLN was acting as his employer and he is the one that broke his own story.

They can make whatever changes they deem necessary with programming and presentation.

even if they arent sued they will give him his back wages I think. To keep it quiet and off the books. But yeah, hes done with them and they with him. There is no going back after this. I hope this also taught him a life lesson about optics being in the public eye. He needs 2 be smarter. Not very many things positive happen being at a bar drinking. We are all redeemable and he should be given that much. He just has 2 be smarter because the world is filled with professional victims.

Lol. You stated an opinion in response to my own opinion and I repeated the opinion again but now it's morphed into a defensive strawman. It's. The. Same. Opinion. Bottle your first sentence though the next time a bad call is the result of an obviously biased ref.
What?

My first point was that you absolutely do come across as if you have an agenda.
You responded to that by stating that it only seemed that way to those who are Irvin fans who don't want to look behind the curtain.

That is 100% a strawman argument, or an example of gaslighting, as another put it.

Now you are even bringing an entirely different topic (strawman) into the mix.

Go ahead and spin things whichever way you need to make yourself feel better, but rest assured, the majority see right through it.

This applies to CC and DHB as well. Do you guys all Zoom while watching the View?

What makes you think he has had any pay suspended by the NFLN?

That would explain a lot. the NFL front office is not known for hiring competent people.
