How come you don't have a comedy special or a sitcom? You are very fast and original with your comebacks. Remember when we were talking about Romo and how his stats compared to other very good qb's? Yes you do stupid. Just try to think for a second. Ok. Now this is where you had no comeback and started saying stupid ship.

Oh he's the stat king of 5-7 yard completions no doubt, but he is declining before our eyes. Couldn't put together a decent drive in the 4rth qtr against KC when we needed him most, sad...

"Stupid" is defending a lousy qb just because ur a total homer...

Havent read all 9 pages of posts, but I think Johnny Football will go to Philly. I was very impressed tonight w/ the QB from Wyoming. He'd be my choice to
train as Romo's replacement...

Well alot depends on Romo's performance, but I believe you should be developing the QB position at all times cause it is the most important position in today's NFL. If you aren't developing it, then your doing that at your own peril.

Any year we wanna draft a QB to develop, I'm all for it, even if Romo gets a ring and we want to keep him til he is 40, we still should be developing it.

Extending Romo was a mistake, but if a top QB prospect is available , they should draft him. There is no need in drafting a QB in the third or fourth round and hope he becomes an elite player. With the exception of Brady, it hasn't worked out much in the league.

The Cowboys should have gone the Aaron Rodgers route and drafted Romo's replacement this year or last year, in preparation for him being the future starter by no later than 2016.

They should have moved up a few spots and drafted Dalton a couple of years ago. They liked him and he was within reach.

He's tied for 6th all time in yards per completion.
What or who would be your alternative solution at qb? I think he's our best option and has been for the last few years. Please provide a realistic alternative.

First off I thought Romo's contract was structured so we could cut him loose after 2 years, which I think will happen if we don't pull out of this slump. Everything else has been changed so if we miss the playoffs again I could see us drafting one of the top 6 QB's in the 2014 draft. To start in 2015/16. Rarely does putting a rookie QB in the game year one amount to anything more than a 12 loss season. you only do it when you have to do it, and then pray that his confidence isn't crushed for the remainder of his career. We're in good spot this year to draft a QB, most teams currently have a young QB and won't be in the market this year, I personally like Romo and think he will play for a couple more years and win a playoff game or two, that being said I like my Cowboys more and want them to win no matter which player needs cast aside.

I've been very critical of Romo in the past, but the game IS NOT too big for him.
I just feel Romo's entire career has been mismanaged.
We've never put a great offensive line around him.
We've never really given him a running game, and when we did, we really didn't feature it.
We never really managed his Farvian qualities, and now when we're trying to do it, it's almost too late.
I should correct myself and say we did have one season where we put everything around him to succeed, and that season we got summarily bounced by the Giants.
I hope I'm wrong, but I fear this team will be mediocre for a long time.
And I feel because of bad management, we've wasted the careers of Romo, Witten and Ware.
As for Johnny Manziel, I'd be willing to take a chance on him. No one knows for sure who's going to be a great quarterback in this draft class. But I'd be more willing to take a chance on Manziel's intangibles.
Here's the thing though: I don't know whether he can thrive in Dallas. Jerry will try to market him, and I just don't know if Dallas would be a good place for Manziel to be.
Maybe with a more disciplined franchise like the Patriots. But Dallas? I think there's a complacency, a laziness, an entertainment-mindset here that wouldn't be conducive to a Johnny Manziel.

I agree with ALL of the above and I've been very supportive of Romo in the past. I can't remember how many times and how often I've had to litigate and legitimize Romo vs. what / whomever with buds / acquaintances, complete strangers. Last week was as close to the "final straw" as I've come to believing it's time to move on.

Ok. I'm guessing this whole exchange was a joke or you're really a fan of another team. So you got me. It was ridiculous of me thinking anyone could purposely say the dumb things you were saying.

You are SO "Brilliant" the only comeback you can drum up is to continue to hurl feeble attacks on my intelligence by calling me stupid and dumb..

And you want me to waste my time educating you? For what? Do u even watch the games? Seriously u don't expect me to believe you actually watch the games do you? How is it that you are still alive Einstein?

Questioning how I'm alive. Wow. Ok.
Saying I hurl feeble attacks. Ok.
Can you answer the question I asked about you providing a Realistic better alternative to Romo. Now or in the last few years.
Realistic means that it has a reasonable chance of happening or have happened.
