Is anyone else tired of hearing about this oil leak?

Really does not make a difference in what you believe.

Just like it does not matter if you believe it would happen?

Because if they were tighter on their own restrictions and followed through on the restrictions they made instead of cutting corners...it would most likely keep incidents from happening and giving others legitimate excuses to place more on them.

I agree that they should and that it would most likely keep incedents from happening.

But the environmentalist types will hate the oil companies no matter what and the politicians that use those types for support will always try and place as many restrictions as they can on oil drilling.

Its really that simple.

Just to piggyback on your comments, additional laws aren't likely to be helpful when we don't enforce our existing ones. Ten days prior to the explosion of the rig, it was scheduled to have an Environmental Impact Assessment but was excused from it by a high ranking government official who has since been fired.

Blames for this spill goes far and wide.
