So because Lamb is not as good as the guy that was at a minimum top 3 in the NFL in his prime, then he is overrated?

Lamb is on a 16 gane pace for almost 90 catches, over 1300 and double digit TD's. Thats the kind of year 2 production you want out of a guy you draft in the top 5

I don’t know why Dez is your standard. I thought Lamb would be a rookie world beater but he wasn’t and that’s no slide. Cooper should help he seems like a great example for Lamb so no complaints on the Lamb pick.

Lamb's stats are better than Dez right now overall in their careers at this point. And it's not like Lamb had good QB play most of last year. Dez had Kitna year one and I would take him over Dalton and co last year.

Dez didn't hit over 1300 yards till year 3. Lamb had nearly 1k last year and will get that easily this year. And his target % is way higher than Dez.

What's Lamb's target count versus...? These other young receivers Lamb is being compared to might have been drafted as WR#1 from day one. Thusly, their target count would be higher than Lambs.

Some must think, Lamb should be the only reciever from that draft with good numbers. The drafted was loaded at the WR position that year. So I'm happy that Lamb's number are even close to some of those guys. Especially with him being on the same team with Zeke, Cooper, Gallup, Pollard and Shultz. Imagine if our offense wasn't loaded and we had to target Lamb 14 times a game.

So no, Lamb is not overrated, IMO.

I'll say this: if CeeDee is, somehow, over-rated, it may well be just a matter of time 'til he proves himself under-rated. Consider that.

Dez was all about physical talent and not nearly as much about his mental ability! CeeDee is, hands-down, better than Dez, in many ways!

Dez was all world ability with a 10 cent brain. Ceedee so far has been great. Hope he keeps it going.

CeeDee is a better route runner than Dez ever could be. Dez had a route tree of 3 routes. That's not enough branches, in my book. :muttley:

Miles Austin was the #1 Dez's rookie year. He had over 1k yds. Witten also had over 1k yds. Dez was clearly the #2 WR and the 3rd option in the passing game his rookie year. His second year he become the #1.

CeeDee has had some drops but a year and a half or so into his career he is much better then Dez. Not really that close. Do you remember how Dez struggled to start his career? He was not great in the beginning. Btw Dez ended up having a few great years surrounded by meh years. Then he flamed out quick because he is amazingly immature. He is very overrated by some.

It's not hard to figure out. He's not a fan. Every time he posts something, it's negative about a player or the team. It's a hidden agenda but some of us aren't fooled. You get a little respect around here if your straight up but when you hide the fact that your team is not the Cowboys, you get verbally abused on this forum. We are just waiting for the OP to come out from under his rock. :)

I agree, we talk about culture here but then you have those who talk about guys who are selfish and distraction. Dez was a very talented player but frankly not seeing him blowing up on the sideline and bringing all the drama is a relief. This group of players have come together as a team and it is teams that win championships. Our WR bring a lot of talent to the table and are getting the job done. As I said a many times I'm tired of the individual records I want wins, I want team effort and a SB not a prima donna complaining and creating issues on the team

CD had been the 3rd WR on the team, with most of the plays designed to go to cooper and Gallup....as the 3rd WR he had almost a 1000 yards his first season, with Dalton at QB...not Romo or Dak.

no he was not. according to who? Dez's career was always going to be short. he wasn't a technician, or a great route runner. he wasn't a speed guy neither. he was physical and as a result injuries were bound to happen.....he had two good seasons where he was top 10 in recieving. the rest he was not even close...and in those two years he wasn't even top 5...

but I am not surprised Cowboys fans putting him in HOF. he is a cowboy and he walked through those doors drinking the koolaid that made hims super.

very true. if Dez could only catch contested balls, then he had trouble getting open.....which makes him an average WR for his inability to get open...LOL

Dez wasn't elite. He had a couple very good season and was a freak on 50/50 balls, but he wasn't the best of the best in his era. It was mostly the space between his ears that limited him.

No need to crap on Dez. Both are/were great homegrown talent.
